rumor is Jerry West (aha! Lakers connection) is going to persue him after Hubie Brown retires (again) after this season due to health concerns...reunited!!! (that might get Kobe to Memphis too, with his close relationship with Byron Scott)

but the rivalry is/was more heated between the Lakes and Celts than the Trojans and them baby bruins (notice i didn't capitalize 'bruins')

i personally dont think scott will have a hard time finding a new job. maybe tops a year or 2 on tv as an announcer for tnt and he'll be back, if not sooner.

Shane Battier, Mike Miller, Bonzi Wells, and Kobe Bryant on the same team? Unless Memphis gets a real low post scorer who can draw a double every time and get to the line regularly, they'll never be more than the Dallas Mavericks.
