I have to say the Olympics went pretty close to perfect for Russia. No sniff of terrorists, no protests, and the closing ceremony joke about the problem during the opening ceremony was a nice touch and a nice change of pace. And I think the totally unexpected domination by Russia on the medal count more than makes up for the hockey disappointment. If it wasn't for Ukraine, there would be no talking to Putin now.

Enough with the Americahay silliness, Serjik. The average Armenian immigrant in Russia gets along very well with Chechens, Dagestanis, and Azerbaijanis and given the anti-Caucasian climate in Russia perhaps they have to (they're all khaches, right?). We used to have a member named Fedayeen who told us all about the "joys" of living in Russia; you might want to look up his posts.

I would bother to go into specifics, and actually research every one of these statements and give you exact examples, but who am I kidding, it's not like it's gonna change your mind. No matter what example I give to you, you are gonna have one of two responses(1) Either its gonna be a Western Source and you will claim it's anti-Russia propaganda, or (2) its gonna be a Russian source, and you're gonna say its just foreign infiltration/slave/NGO spy/[insert paranoia/denial statement].
