That he is Algerian is valid. Don't be obtuse.

"...former French football player of Kabyle Algerian descent..."

"The Kabyles are a Berber people whose traditional homeland is Kabylie or Kabylia in northeastern Algeria."

"The Berbers are an ethnic group indigenous to Northwest Africa, speaking the Berber languages of the Afroasiatic family."

I said he is Algerian initially, to which you protested, which is valid. I am to guess you got tired of pretending to be an Armenian transsexual with another alias dsarkisian 'smart guy'.

Look let us not beat around the bush with this: Berbers from the broader bigger picture are still Afro-Asian i.e. ARABS. Now, WHICH Arab? Well that is perfectly indicated on that website Anonymouse posted. Look this up if you wish, it might fill in some gaps between your education you possibly have had. Sorry, anyone who does not acknowledge the fact that all Semitic groups be it Berbers or other Afro-Asian Tunisians are Arabs, they need to look and review this part of their education again. Berbers are Arabs simply because they are one distant sub-group branch within Arabs and other Arabs that are titled after their nations they have all either settled in earlier or conquered and Arabized it e.g. Egypt.
