Having pictures in sigs slows down the site. You'd have to wait for every image to load and for those w/ slower connections it's a pain. Allowing vB code or html in the sigs would result in huge fonts.

I don't know about you all, but I'd hate having the scroll through longer sigs. It's a pain.
