Can a moderator explain what was wrong with the "Touring Armenia" thread? It simply included excellent information about Armenia and its potentials as a tourist destination.
Thanks.
Siamanto.
What if I find someone else when looking for you? My soul shivers as the idea invades my mind.
There's no advertising on the site. I restored the thread, but do me a huge favor and go through your posts and edit them to remove any ad-ish things like the travel agent's contact info please. I think your intent was to encourage people to go visit and not to advertise, so I'll leave it there, but please edit it. Otherwise it'll have to go.

Siggie,
First of all, thank you for restoring the thread. I sincerely appreciate it.
You are right, my intention was to encourage tourism to Armenia and create awareness of Armenia's potentials.
I have checked all 17 articles+2 editorials and found only a single reference to a lucrative/commercial organization. I have removed it. I hope that you will agree with me that references to non-lucrative organizations or governmental agencies cannot be considered as "advertisement." Instead, they are of informative nature.
Please let me know if any questions or if I have missed an "advertisement." Thanks.
Looked over it kind of quickly, but it looks fine.
I deleted one part earlier, but I think I may have seen just the one and assumed the municipal, govt., etc to be ads as well.
Thanks for going through it again!

I believe that you have deleted the contact information of Armenia.now, not a commercial/lucrative organization. Personally, I would not delete such references as a respect to Intellectual Property and a act of Intellectual Integrity.
At Armenia.now they have made the effort and they deserve to be recognized for their efforts and be fairly accredited. If you don't mind, I would like to restore what you have deleted.
Though I understand the policy of no advertisement, I think there are two things that need to be considered before a post is deleted. 1- Who made the thread 2- What kind of an advertisement it is. In this case, the starter was Siamanto who has a 400+ post count so obviously he's not a troll. Him posting an article with a link to an Armenian organization that promotes tourism which actually benefits the country's economy is different from a person who only registers to start a thread about a personal advertisement.

Thank you for your understanding.
Regards,
Siamanto.
I think the all caps reference in the thread title accomplish this.

Just my two cents
Wow, I didn't realize I needed to submit a summary of my actions with accompanying thought process.
I saw the thread in question, which you must admit screams ad to anyone who doesn't know the site in question and it's a very long thread. I tried to go through and edit, didn't have the time right then, so I deleted it temporarily in case it was just an ad, until I could check it. By which time this thread had been created.
Not sure what makes you think we don't consider those things.
