  • Moderators Deleting Posts

Although I don't believe I broke any rules, I noticed that one of my posts have been deleted. What is worse is that there was no explanation from the powers that be as to why this happend.
This censorship is condesending and unacceptable...If I did somthing wrong, than let me know through a PM...or ban me if my post is that egregious. Just deleting as if it never existed is just childish and rude.

I believe it was explained in the thread.
In the future, please do not complain in the thread as you do there or here. Instead send a private message to one of us and we'll follow up on it.

As the rules (posted in the announcement forum) state, no offtopic posts, posts or threads may be removed, and questions about moderator actions should be asked throuh pm.

We try to send people a pm, but in the case of removing offtopic posts, there are so many we'd be doing nothing but. So, in the event that there's no explanation given and you can't infer one, you can certainly send us a pm and we'll explain.

I would fully agree with your take on this issue, but your enforcement of deleteing "off topic posts" are selective at best. I'd say about 99% of threads go off topic...if that's even partly true, you would be deleting posts left and right. However, I don't believe that is happening.
In short, your selective enforcement lends itself to bias...this is unacceptable.

After my complaining, I see you deleted the rest of the off topic posts on the Turkish Oud thread - not just mine.
        Consistancy is a good thing.
