Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

  • The New ArmenianClub Profile Format

So, is it just me..or is the new profile format very very similiar to Myspace? Also there are some glitches in the new format and it is harder to navigate then before. Any admins care to explain why this change was made? The old Armenian Club Profile Format was much better than the new one. The fact is, alot of people have stopped using Armenian Club because of it. Please post your comments on the new AC here. If enough people are as concerned as i am, i might start a petition to return AC to its original format. Thank you.

I don't think a petition is gonna help Bro (lol). It's up to the admin what he wants to do with the site...just enjoy it.

that's exactly true, I stopped using AC because of it. It's way more confusing and slow now. There's almost no point to it.

apparently the admin who chose that format doesn't know what he's doing. Knocking off Myspace is no way to draw more people to the website. Especially if half of the functions dont work properly. They moved this thread from the General Topics to here and gave me the explanation that this thread belongs in suppport and feedback. im not looking for support and feedback from admins. im looking for support and feedback in a section where users visit everyday. Whatever...this site just lost one more person. that leaves about 3 people left.

You're not looking for feedback, but you're providing feedback and if you'd like your opinion heard it should be stated here. If you want it considered, that's another story and it doesn't start by insulting the admin I'm sure.

It's interesting how limited people's perspectives are. He made a big change to the site, not to make it look more like any other site, but to increase the options and features of the site. It was a huge update and all the little things weren't worked out when the site launched. He's still working on it, so just be patient. The most important features are all working.

hmmm, i say we all just be satisfied with what we have. who cares, the layouts changed, big deal.. you can still message all the poeple you were messaging before, and if they decided to leave the site, i guess it was pretty much up to you to find other means of contact. lets all just appreciate the fact that the messaging system is still on the go!

Im looking for feedback from the people. When i first posted the thread, i wanted other members of AC to respond and comment on it. I didn't come into this forum to insult anyone, but i felt insulted when my thread was moved. There is no way that more people will read my thread in this section, than in the other section. I feel that is an insult. So the insult to the admin comes well deserved. Why did their have to be a change? It makes no sense when AC was doing just fine. The options and features on the site are just about the same except for we can now have background pictures wooooptie doooo. and now ur insulting me by telling me i have a limited perspective? ha! what is so limited about my perspective? I guess you can say 1/3 of all the AC users have a limited perspective as well, since they feel the same as i do. peace.

Re: The New ArmenianClub Profile Format

This is the section for feedback about the site. Posts don't go in a particular forum because of their purported readership; they are organized by topic.

If you are going to insist on being rude and assert that you have a right to insult the admin or staff, then you will be made to leave. Your rudeness will not be tolerated. It's that simple.

i just noticed something....where is my insult? if you think its this, "apparently the admin who chose that format doesn't know what he's doing", you dont know what an insult is. that is just my opinion of the administrators web design skills. once again, your proven wrong...have fun replying to this!
