Let me start with the first fact, Hannibal fled after the lost of Antichos to Armenia and there he help the king to find and kill some rebels. The rest is just rumors and myth with no historical evidence.

The third myth is just wrong, Mamekoninas are a very old family. they were the sparapets of Armenia for I don't know how long. So were did you get those facts from. Does Khorinadzi tell those facts I don't think so

The rumors of chinese blood were most likely spread by the family itself in order to seem more exotic. The Bagratuni's did a similar thing, claiming descent from the line of king david of israel.
For the first time in more than 600 years, Armenia is free and independent, and we are therefore obligated
to place our national interests ahead of our personal gains or aspirations.

A couple of things to clear about Saint Gregory the Illuminator, he was specifically Parthian, now if it is going to assumed that Parthian also means Persian, then King Drtad was also Persian since he was a Parthian as well. Also the co-founder of the Armenian Alphabet Saint Sahak was also known as Sahak Bartev (Parthian) who was a descendent of Saint Gregory’s family and also Saint Vartan the Brave. Technically, it was Saint Gregory’s father who killed Drtad’s father.

During Soviet time, Turkey complained that there was Mount Ararat on our Seal and that Ararat was Turkey's not ours. So Russians responded, well you guys have crescent on your flag does that mean you claim the moon to be yours?

*Moses of Chorene and Faustus of Byzantium, both mention the chinese part. Some historians today say that instead of creating rumors to inflate egos, the mamikonians were honest in mentioning that they were not wholly armenian, but that over time the word for the Tzans, "chanik" who were from the south of Trebizond got mixed up with the word for chinese "Chenk"

*wikipedia lists Strabo and Plutarch as sources for hannibal helping plan the capital. Various other articles, etc say the some of the same, or partialy agree. The website hyeetch for example states, "that he pointed out to Artashes the strategic and military importance of the place."

heres your problem, a serious problem i see all to often.
please, dont take imformation your read on the internet seriously. read it, digest it, but dont take it as given.. especially regarding histroy...especially Armenian History!
-Go to the library, read a book, do some research on the author, his/her credentials, other publications.
-read some academic articles, access some online journals. peer reviewed articles are concrete sources to extrapolate informations from, NOT random websites with no academic backing
-the best and most accurate information comes from Armenian historians who write in Armenian. Information you find in the Armenian language is priceless.
              - finally whatever you read has to be sourced! if the information/article you read has no in text references/bibliography, then its most likely rubbish.

wiki gives "Cornelius Nepos, Hannibal 11.4-5." as the source.

Most books in the public library, especially the public library here, wouldn't have that much info on Armenia, and what they do have is often outdated
