Does anybody know about this battle/war?
I was reading an article about the Armenian diaspora, and
it said that a portion of Armenians moved to the U.S in 1918
due to the Battle Of Baku in 1918.
My question is: Was this an actual historic battle, or another
azeri/turkish lie made form their propaganda machine?

    Re: Battle Of Baku

If I remember correctly, it was a war between the communist faction and the islamic faction. Baku was a communist stronghold, and the Armenians living there were relatively safer under it. Because the ARF didn't believe in helping their cause however, the Armenian communists in Baku had no support from anyone except the British, who hardly offered any help, and so they were soundly defeated. Afterwards, with no one left to protect them, the Armenians of Baku were getting butchered. So naturally, some of them got away and made it to America.

That was a real war, not a "fake". However, its real nature is not presented by the Azeri propaganda corrctly.
