Where are you getting this nonsense from? Armenian DNA shows we are indigenous to the Armenian Highlands. there is no Greek or Persian mixture in our DNA. Armenia's population at the the of Tigran the Great was roughly around 5 million. This comes from the sources we have which state the number of soldiers in his army which was around 300,000 thousand. I will put a link on the bottom that talks about the Armenian DNA. The first 30 minutes it is talking about what DNA is in general, than starting from the 30 minute mark it goes into Armenian DNA. I am getting tired of a lot of Armenians,who have an inferiority complex and think we are all mixed muts. The very infamous saying a lot of slave mentality having Armenians have where they say "original Armenians were blonde and blue eyed" This poisonous mindset comes from over 500 hundred years of being slaves to Turks, and now the offspring of Slaves who carry the same slave mentality of their slave ancestors.

Do you seriously believe every person that lived within borders of Tigrans empire was armenian? it was an empire not a nation, Tigran moved whole greek cities into his empire he needed people who could make coins. Tigrans wife was greek which he married for alliance purposes he would have married a persian if he would have thought that would be smart move. People 2000 years did not think about ethnicity like we do today, if believing you are some ancient 100% armenian pure breed makes you feel better go ahead it makes no difference.

I was referring to the Armenian homeland , the Armenian Highlands. Of course the empire which included 1/3 of Iran and Syria all the way down into Judea the populations there are not Armenian. However the Armenian Highlands is, and there are DNA studies which prove that. You mentioning Tigran being married to a Greek is irrelevant, because admixture to show up with any significance among a group of people needs to be more than cases of individuals marrying foreigners. There has to be centuries of non Armenian dna pouring into Armenians to show up in our DNA which of course is not the case.

You see that is the problem we will never be able to build a great country in the modern world, because the Armenian mentality is poisoned . There is a huge inferiority complex in Armenians ( not all but a significant amount ). I want everyone on this forum to look at their personal experience and tell me if there hasn't been events where drunk friends and/or relatives are having political talk around a table and how it is being mentioned that we are not capable, we need bigger powers to protect us, how we are cheaters and liers, ect... These types of talks are going on while there are young Armenian children present. Now Think of the mental and spiritual damage we are causing these young ones by basically saying he as an Armenian is not capable and needs bigger powers watching over him. These types of talks are always going around among the Armenian communities throughout the world. This slave mentality needs to be eradicated before we can ever achieve to build a great country in the modern world

Has nothing to do with 100% ancient. Studies have shown we have been the same people (overall) for the last 4000 some years. There is no "pure"! Just a fact that does not indicted some superiority. Having said that, genetics and religion have a large influence in the progress and well being of our existing global model.

And what i wrote in the other post is IF Tigrans empire would have lasted longer or any other Armenian kingdom would have lasted long the non-Armenians would have been able to be absorbed by us increasing our population which would not have made us weaker in any way. Culture is more important than dna.

You are correct we were never able to hold large holdings outside of our homeland long enough for Armenianization of non Armenians to occur. However what is interesting for me is during Tigrans time Armenian population was roughly around 5 million which is similar to what Chinas population was at the same time period. Now we are around 8-10 mil China is 2 billion. Deaths and mass exodus has caused our numbers to shrink over centuries.

Roman empire and Persia using Armenia as a battlefield with large standing armies eating all the food causing starvation for 10-20 years, destroying looting anything they can.

Also starting around 5th and 6th century mass exodus of Armenians leaving to go to Balkans. Armenian nobility taking all of their belongings which included the population and settling in the Balkans in Byzantine Land in order to escape Arab later on Turkish invasions. These exodus and later deportations of Armenians continued well into the 17th 18th century with Iran namely Shah Abaz taking large segment of Armenian population and settling them in Iran. We became minorities in our own homeland.
