Do you seriously believe every person that lived within borders of Tigrans empire was armenian? it was an empire not a nation, Tigran moved whole greek cities into his empire he needed people who could make coins. Tigrans wife was greek which he married for alliance purposes he would have married a persian if he would have thought that would be smart move. People 2000 years did not think about ethnicity like we do today, if believing you are some ancient 100% armenian pure breed makes you feel better go ahead it makes no difference.

That saying ofcourse we are indigenous never said anything different.

I was referring to the Armenian homeland , the Armenian Highlands. Of course the empire which included 1/3 of Iran and Syria all the way down into Judea the populations there are not Armenian. However the Armenian Highlands is, and there are DNA studies which prove that. You mentioning Tigran being married to a Greek is irrelevant, because admixture to show up with any significance among a group of people needs to be more than cases of individuals marrying foreigners. There has to be centuries of non Armenian dna pouring into Armenians to show up in our DNA which of course is not the case.

Where are you getting this nonsense from? Armenian DNA shows we are indigenous to the Armenian Highlands. there is no Greek or Persian mixture in our DNA. Armenia's population at the the of Tigran the Great was roughly around 5 million. This comes from the sources we have which state the number of soldiers in his army which was around 300,000 thousand. I will put a link on the bottom that talks about the Armenian DNA. The first 30 minutes it is talking about what DNA is in general, than starting from the 30 minute mark it goes into Armenian DNA. I am getting tired of a lot of Armenians,who have an inferiority complex and think we are all mixed muts. The very infamous saying a lot of slave mentality having Armenians have where they say "original Armenians were blonde and blue eyed" This poisonous mindset comes from over 500 hundred years of being slaves to Turks, and now the offspring of Slaves who carry the same slave mentality of their slave ancestors.

Not only indigenous, also the latest studies shows that there are no mix from any other existing nation or race. Attached is a genetic map showing each country's mixture from others. Notice when you select Armenia it is ONLY outwards influence/distribution. Armenians are becoming a marker as in a reference point.

since we've have been in the region for 3000 years approx, that would have happened already. Which means there is little chance that will happen. anyone know how much was the population even in the golden years of Tigran da great?

A majority were probably not armenian but greek and persian and ethnicity did not have the same meaning it does today, if the empire would have lasted or any kingdom at all maybe more other people would have been absorbed and assimilated.

i'm a strong believer that the only solution for Armenia, to go out of all centuries centuries misery versus turk race to increase population up to 50-60 millions, solutions to every single problem that we have comes on a golden plate, now your gonna say there's is no work, i know, but there's always a way, first solution comes with abortion annulation

I don't know how many times this has to be repeated before Armenians get it through their heads. It's great how nobody ever really worries about a Turkish threat of invasion on Armenia... I wonder why. I think they're getting used to taking this fact for granted. We are spoiled. Maybe we need to be reminded what is the distance between the Turkish border and Yerevan and how many of its neighbors Turkey is currently invading and ask the Greeks why they spend so much on their military even in their lousy economic state.
