      Have any of you heard of Gomeshyan or Hatsagortsyan O O ! I mean, come on. I love my people but they've done some things that are beyond understanding

        Actually yes
        Ezer could be a variation of Hezer-Hizir-Hizirian

            Many Armenians had their names changed when they arrived as refugees in a country. My father’s name in Turkey was Sar@yan.
            As there is no a letter i without point in French, he has been called Sarian on his papers. The same thing has happened to Saroyan.
            Some other names which were too long have been short cut.
            i.e. Dandiginian has become Dandigian which has lost its former meaning.
