Lets hope Sargsyan kept and keeps his ground, there's really nothing Azerbaijan can do if he does but there is a lot Azerbaijan can do if Sargsyan shows weakness and a willingness to concede land.

RA (roughly 29,800 sq. km. ) + Artsakh (roughly 12,000 sq. km.) = about 42,000 sq. km which is about 8 percent of historic Armenia (Armenia Major, Armenia Minor and Cilician Armenia also known as Little Armenia) which was put forth by Prime Minister Poghos Nubar during the 1919 Paris Peace Conference.

But only Turkey signed the Kars Treaty, Armenia did not,
doesn't that make the document null or void?

Like without Artsakh our land mass is 29,000 sq km, how much is our
land mass with Artsakh combined?

RA (roughly 29,800 sq. km. ) + Artsakh (roughly 12,000 sq. km.) = about 42,000 sq. km which is about 8 percent of historic Armenia (Armenia Major, Armenia Minor and Cilician Armenia also known as Little Armenia) which was put forth by Prime Minister Poghos Nubar during the 1919 Paris Peace Conference.

Armenia went from 55 thousand sq. km. to 29 thousand as about 10 thousand sq. km. by the end of 1920s was handed over to 'Azerbaijan' and the rest to 'Turkey' - territories that for millennia have been continuously Armenian inhabited and part of the Kingdom of Armenia. Most of Northern Artsakh as Kars Ardahan (during the genocide) have been cleansed of native Armenians.

Northeastern (from the Armenian Tavush province that today the Azeris call "Tovuz"), and southeastern territories of Armenian Republic along with Armenian Artsakh (including northern Artsakh) were handed throughout the 1920s were gradually forcefully made part of "Azerbaijan." Look at borders of Artsakh or "Karabakh" along with Syunik territory of Armenia. It includes almost ALL of liberated territories that were naturally part of Armenian Artsakh and Syunik which today are claimed to be outside of the artificially drawn borders of "Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Oblast."

Azerbaijan Says Karabakh Talks Last Chance For Deal

BAKU (Reuters) -- Azerbaijan said upcoming talks with Armenia on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict would be "decisive" and warned that its troops were ready to use force to take back the rebel region if they fail, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said.

Aliyev meets his Armenian counterpart Serzh Sarkisian on November 22 in Munich for the latest in a string of meetings this year on the Armenian-populated mountain region, which broke away from Azerbaijan in the early 1990s.

"That meeting must play a decisive role in the process of negotiations," Aliyev said late on November 20, in comments broadcast by state television today.

"If that meeting ends without result, then our hopes in negotiations will be exhausted and then we are left with no other option," he said, saying Azerbaijan had the right to use force to take back the mountain region.

"Azerbaijan is spending billions on buying new weapons, hardware, strengthening its position on the line of contact," he said at a meeting with Azerbaijani refugees from the conflict.

"We are doing that because we never excluded and we do not exclude that option. We have the full right to liberate our land by military means."

Aliyev frequently threatens force to take back the territory, at the heart of a key transit region for oil and gas to the West. But analysts doubt the readiness of oil-producing Azerbaijan to go to war.

Ethnic Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh, backed by Armenia, threw off Azeri rule in fighting that erupted as the Soviet Union headed towards its 1991 collapse. The Armenians took control of Nagorno-Karabakh and seven surrounding Azeri districts before a cease-fire was declared in 1994.

Some 30,000 people died and more than 1 million were made homeless.

The conflict has been thrust back into the diplomatic spotlight by an historic rapprochement this year between Armenia and Azerbaijan' ally Turkey, which closed its border with Armenia in 1993 in solidarity with Azerbaijan during the war.

Ankara says it will only ratify accords with Yerevan, opening the border and establishing diplomatic relations with Armenia, if it sees progress in the talks on Nagorno-Karabakh.

A NUMBER OF NEW PROJECTS CAME INTO OPERATION IN HADROUT

On November 8, the solemn ceremony of opening of the secondary school
of Hakaku village, Hadrout region, which was reconstructed on public
funds, took place. More than AMD 110 mln were allotted to the modern
overhaul repair of this educational institution.

NKR Prime Minister Ara Haroutyunyan, NKR Minister of Education and
Science V. Khachatryan, other public officials partook in the ceremony.

The Head of the Government got familiarized with school conditions
and had a talk with the teachers.

The same day A.Haroutyunyan participated in the opening ceremonies of
water pipes of Mets Tagher and Azokh villages, Hadrout region. They
were restored by the financial support of the NKR Government and
"Hayastan" All-Armenian Fund.

A.Vardanyan, Executive Director of "Hayastan" All-Armenian Fund,
participated in the ceremony as well.
