Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

However it's a practice very similar to same way the Greek state just can't call bring themselves to recognize the "muslims' in Thrace as "Turks". Not to mention all the minarets knocked down in Crete but that's another story. Perhaps we should recognize all the AD artifacts as 'Christian' as neither the Greek or Armenian state existed at the time. Though I think the only thing that would make you happy is the words Armenian and Greek stamped on each artifact with a corresponding flag to match. Clearly your motives are driven from nationalism rather than artistic integrity.
I have yet to research your claims, but assuming they are true, a people who are continually brutalized and oppressed sometimes themselves become brutal as a result of maltreatment as they know only abuse, neglect and cruelty, you should ask if this happened, what made the Greeks so hateful as to inspire them to such cruelty, it was surely not their own doing...could it be by chance the vile treatment faced under Ottoman "millenias of Peace" that charged them to this barberous state if the events happened as you claim, could constant racism drive a person to bloodlust?

No Alexandros, I was asked why the words 'Hellene and Armenian' were not on a Turkish museum website and I replied with the answer: probably because of the same reason why the Greek government can't echo the word "Turkish" minority in Greece. That's not changing the subject, it's a valid response that reflects the regressive mindset of countries within the region.
Disrespectful neighbors with bad intentions, including mine. Take your time and reflect on that point if you need to.

Again, nothing in the OP says about the Turkish minority in Greek Thrace. You did the exactly same thing in another thread , "Can Turkey learn tolerance" by trying to inject your BS about the Turkish minority...seriously, why don`t you start your own thread and have your own monologue, eh?

Does that include Greek ancient monuments too? LOL. Anyway, Turkey`s state policy is pretty paranoid when it comes to Greek, Armenian, Assyrian...monuments and how to define them. It has gone even so far that Turkey is renaming animals:
Blah Blah. Most of the manuments at anatolia are roman ones. Sorry my friend, even romans did not call themself as greek. Anyway, we call a lot monuments as ottomans too.

Maybe romans were turks because They did not call themself as greek. xxxxing turkish propoganda even changed past

It's not BS and the issues are connected. Don't you get it, all these issues are reflective of the regressive mindset within our region when it comes to other ethnicities. If you ask a Greek or an Armenian EVERYTHING of any value in the Ottoman empire can be credited them, nothing to Turks. Not one creation of art, food, music, architecture etc. The level of arrogance is unparralled.

And you have become a prolific poster of anything anti-Turkish on this site with attempts to slander, scrutinize and misrepresent and yet Greece can't even address the basic questions that you demand of Turkey at the same time like:

                a) the right to be legally called a "Turk"
                b) the right to legally elect our own religious leaders.
                c) the right of free association with the name "Turk" in it.

Get your own house in order before you start slinging mud in future.

See, this is another attempt from you to try to change the subject: this thread is about that Turkey demands back its cultural heritage.

You seem to lately be making everything about the Turkish minority in Greek Thrace.

You know what: you could complain all you want but the fact remains that Turkey is the worst Human Rights violator in Europe.

                  Try to defend that.

Don't laugh too hard. I could name you many European countries with worse human rights ratings than Turkey, namely:

                    Russia (especially due to Chechnya)
                    Belarus
                    Moldova
                    FYROM
                    Azerbaijan
                    Armenia

Just refer to Freedom House 2009 report if you don't believe me. Enjoy:

And just before you get over excited Alexandros, I know about EHCR rulings. The above is a far more exhaustive analysis than a simplistic count of court cases.

So you simply disregard that Turkey is the worst Human Rights violator in Europe when it comes to ECHR decisions?

                      How convenient, isn`t it?
