- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or

This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

Re: Iranian Drug Dealers Arrested in Armenia

'Halting drug trade, a regional task'

Iranian Interior Minister Mostafa Mohammad-Najjar says regional solutions are the most appropriate means of fighting off narcotics problems in countries such as Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Regional experts are preferable as “they are more familiar with the prevailing circumstances and coordinated efforts must be made in order to put an end to [poppy] cultivation in Afghanistan,” Mohammad-Najjar told Press TV on the sidelines of the 54th plenary session of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND) in Vienna on Tuesday.

He said that in a trilateral meeting with officials from Iran's eastern neighbors of Pakistan and Afghanistan, new ways of cooperation on the drug issue were discussed.

Mohammad-Najjar noted that the trio have joined efforts to fight drug trafficking and that “such operations have resulted in a great amount of drug seizures.”

The Iranian interior minister also called for more international assistance in the effort to counter the problem via further screening of border region activities and money laundering.

“Efforts must be made to fight money laundering particularly in Europe and Western countries because these regions are the final destination of smugglers,” he said.

Apart from the enhancement of capabilities for countering the drug supply and efforts aimed at drug demand reduction, Iran seeks to monitor the changing smuggling routes in order to stop the spread of drug abuse.

Experts say one reason for the global drug problem to linger on is that there are no specific and transparent resolutions proposed by the annual session of the CND.

The Iranian delegation at the CND meeting maintain that contributions of international institutions such as the United Nations' Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and its member states would strengthen the implementation of drug control plans to combat the problem on both regional and global levels.

Afghanistan continues to account for 90 percent of the world's illicit opium and heroin production, the UN drug monitoring body said in its 2010 report. According to UN statistics, Afghanistan produced 185 tons of opium per year under the Taliban.

The poppy cultivation and drug trade in Afghanistan has cost Iran a heavy toll. More than 3,700 Iranian counter-narcotics officers have lost their lives in the anti-drug campaign.

With a 900-kilometer (560-mile) common border with Afghanistan, Iran has been used as the main conduit for smuggling Afghan narcotics to drug dealers in Europe.

Mohammad-Najjar had previously said that Iran has spent more than $700 millions to seal its borders and prevent the transit of narcotics destined for European, Arab and Central Asian countries.

RE: POST #40 BY MOS (OFF-TOPIC PROSTITUTION VIDEO ABOUT IRAN) -- THE REAL TITLE OF THIS THREAD IS "Re: How does everyone feel about Israel?" (It was subsequently moved here - because Mos took it on an anti-Iran tangent.)

          1. I'm not suggesting that there are no prostitutes in Iran (certainly much fewer than in the USA & most western countries), but the video above is of 2 heroin addicted refugee-prostitutes from Afghanistan and Kurdistan who are refugees in Iran (Why? Because of U.S. wars and the free-flow of heroin from Afghanistan permitted by the USA). You can walk down any street in the USA, Russia, Canada, France, etc. and find Heroin addicted prostitutes. Nevertheless, it is widely reported that per capita Israel and the UAE are the biggest traffickers of women - including Armenian women.

          2. Iran punishes people that traffic in women -- far more seriously the USA. A few years back, it was discovered that several Iranian women were kidnapped in the UAE, and the Iranian government told the UAE it would invade them and reduce them to rubble if those women were not repatriated. Promiscuity-&-drugs are staple and welcome features of traditional American society - not traditional Iranian society (a higher % of women in Iran have college degrees than in the U.S. - an astronomically higher % of women in the USA are prostitutes and drug addicts).

          3. You will see the title of the thread is: "HOW DOES EVERYONE FEEL ABOUT ISRAEL?" -- a video slandering Iran has nothing to do with that topic (as posted by Mos). Nevertheless, That video was funded by pro-Israeli sources in the UK to slander Iranians (it totally masks who funded the video and the true nationality of the prostitutes in the video). The fact that an "Armenian" (Mos) CONSTANTLY posts information to try to cast Iranians in a bad light on an Armenian forum is something the Turks, Azeris, & Israelis would PAY HIM to do. Out of all the countries with whom Armenia shares a border - ONLY Iran historically has defended Armenians: The government of Armenia called Iran its "only lifeline" during NK war when it was blockaded on ALL borders and faced an existential threat. Out of the border countries, in history, Iran defended Armenians from several attempted Turkish massacres, gave refuge to Armenians during the genocide, and assisted Armenians with flourishing within the Persian empires (Armenia's lands were 3 times the size they were at that time, no Genocide was permitted to occur, and Armenian's formed an important part of EVERY society in Iran for centuries -- there live 250-300 thousand Armenians in Iran today). Anyone, that posts videos like the one above is not only an enemy to Iranians - but an enemy to Armenians. Like I said, the Turks would love to get 80 million Iranians (200 million worldwide) to hate Armenians -- if that happened Armenia would no longer exist -- and Mos REPEATEDLY is attempting to create this dynamic. What I fear, is that some young Iranian will come along, see Mos's posts, and start making countless web pages in favor of Azerbaijan, listing every Armenian who has been a prostitute or assist the Azeris in fighting Armenia. Anyone that doesn't have clear vision as to Mos endangering Armenians -- should wake up: The biggest danger I personally have seen to Armenians on this forum is Mos (he is by far worse than some of the most rampant Turkish bloggers). The vast majority of posts I have seen from Mos on this forum are pushing a pro-Israeli agenda - not a pro-Armenian agenda.

          4. The bottom line about Israel is that they supply weapons to the Azeris to kill Armenians; the Israelis have a culture of spitting on Armenians in Palestine; the Zionist-J*ws were co-architects of the Armenian Genocide, and have VIGOROUSLY helped the Turks censor recognition of the Armenian Genocide since World War 1 (every MAJOR J*wish organization has helped in that effort). Anyone that thinks that Israelis are a friend to Armenians needs to have their head examined.

PROSTITUTION BY ISRAEL IS THE HIGHEST PER CAPITA OF ANY NATION - INCLUDING THE FORCED SEX SLAVERY OF ARMENIAN & RUSSIAN WOMEN:

"Israel's sex slaves: Israel of all places has turned into international center of modern-day slavery," By Roni Aloni-Sadovnik (Israeli author on Ynet news). Many of the kidnapped women are of Russian and Armenian origin.

            ARMENIAN STATISTICS ON DRUG USE

Mos's post is nonsense -- that's what I've been trying to tell you. Armenia's own statistics state that Iranian involvement in drugs in Armenia is far less than 1% (much, much less than 1% !!!!): See below:

IRANIAN DRUG CRIME IN ARMENIA IS LESS THAN ONE PERCENT OF DRUG OFFENSES.

Iran's involvement in drugs use in, and trafficking to, Armenia has been grossly over-reported on this Forum: Armenia had 1,152 drug cases in 2010 (only 45 of which involved Iranian nationals). That leaves 1,107 cases out of the 1,152 that do NOT involve Iranians. Iran has 75-80 million people (45 people is a fairly low figure in relation to the population of Iran and to the number of people visiting Armenia on an annual basis). (Note: The story does not say how many of those people were Afghan refugees, or where they obtained the drugs, etc.)

            http://www.panarmenian.net/eng/socie...months_of_2010

The number of tourists from Iran to Armenia was 80,000 people in January-September 2010.

            http://www.panarmenian.net/eng/econo...oubled_in_2010

What does the math tell us?
(0.0006 % of Iranians visiting Armenia were involved in drugs - astronomically smaller than 1%.)

            * All the figures come from Armenian sources.

Read the statistics I posted above - you're being duped about the extent of Iranian involvement in drugs in Armenia. Iran is one of Armenia's strongest allies. I also have not posted the prostitution information and videos (out of respect for Armenians).

Last year, Armenian law-enforcers detained 62 drug smugglers.

The press service of the RA Prosecutor General’s Office informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that 50 of them were foreign citizens: 49 Iranian citizens and one citizen of France. Five of the 12 Armenian citizens arrested for drug smuggling had previous convictions.

In 2009, a total of 1,238 drug-related crimes were registered, with 968 of them solved. Last year, 1,524 crimes were registered, with 1,206 of them solved.

A total of 56.8 kg of drugs were confiscated in 2009, and 126.5 kg in 2010. In 2009, 780 people were prosecuted, with 854 prosecuted last year.

Last year, 49 drug smuggling cases were registered in Armenia.

The French national must've been the European connection or the overseeer of the smuggling, making sure it is going to Europe as planned.

                    I am not being duped.
You have a very flippant view of the drug problem.

                    Remember drugs are addictive.
Once a person ( usually young) is addicted very difficult to come off it.
Addicted people usually stay addicted until death which tends to be a short one.

This means addicted population increases continuously creating a growth in demand for drugs.
This is in turn creates opportunity for unscrupulous “business” people, feeding the viscous circle.

I do not know why why you bring Iran-Armenian friendship.
Is that the price one must pay for friendship whether Iranian or other.

Incidentally I never suggested drug problem being promoted at Government level.

The “business” forces behind this “industry” have very close links ( if not identical) with the “industry” above.
My solution would be no different.
Politics is not about the pursuit of morality nor what's right or wrong
Its about self interest at personal and national level often at odds with the above.
Great politicians pursue the National interest and small politicians personal interests

Re: Iranian Drug Dealers Arrested in Armenia

Many of the drug mules are Iranian nationals who have Kurdish or other tribal connections. The source is Afghanistan and the borders being used are Turkey/Armenia or Iran/Armenia and the destination is Europe.
