The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ VivaCell announced commercial launch of VivaCell-MTS 3G (third generation) network, VivaCell Press service reported.

Launch of the 3G UMTS*/HSPA** network marks the beginning of a new stage in the development of telecommunications in Armenia allowing all VivaCell-MTS subscribers to enjoy state-of-the-art mobile broadband technology.

These modern technologies that provide high speed of data transfer and high quality of voice services, allow using a number of new, interesting services, as well as enjoying the services provided before with much higher quality.

To make use of the opportunities provided by 3G, you need to have a mobile phone supporting 3G and be within the 3G coverage. Currently, Yerevan, Gyumri and Vanadzor are provided with 3G coverage. Within these territories, while using the Internet with their current tariff plans, VivaCell-MTS subscribers are already enjoying a previously unreachable speed paying for 1 MB the same tariff as before.

Besides, VivaCell-MTS is presenting a number of solutions, thanks to which you can fully enjoy the opportunities given by 3G: the new MTS Connect USB modem allows connection to the Internet directly from the computer avoiding the inconveniences related to using the mobile phone as a modem; the new MTS Connect tariff plan offers much more affordable Internet tariffs and an opportunity to send and receive SMS; the new Videocall service allows video communication where you can see the interlocutor on the mobile phone display while talking over the phone; VivaCell-MTS mobile portal (wap.vivacell.am) provides access to the latest business and general news, best sports information, international and Armenian content and many other fun and friendly services.

        AZG Armenian Daily #142
        28/07/2007

On July 26, Armenian-European Policy and Legal Advice Center (AEPLAC)
presented its "The Armenian Economic Trends: 2006 Annual Report"

"Annual Economic Report - 2006" contains in-depth analyses of the
main macroeconomic developments in Armenia in 2006, with extensive
international comparisons by using a number of indicators, said the
European Director of AEPLAC Kenneth Myunter

According to AEPLAC's Senior Expert of Economic Issues Artashes
Shaboyan, the analyses consists of various chapters which cast a light
upon key topics such as composition, structure and per capita levels of
the Gross Domestic Product, and a sectored structure of the outputs,
which includes industrial production, agriculture, construction and
other sectors. These are followed by chapters related to inflation,
labor market, financial / banking sectors, the state budget, external
debt and developments in the external sector.

According to the report, GDP rose three times in the last 5 years,
from that only 61% is the real growth.

Inflation in the economy is 14%; the rest 25% was formed because of
the devaluation of the US dollar against the Armenian dram.

Providing 13,3% economic growth in 2006 Armenia became the fifth in
the list of the 181 countries. Azerbaijan gained the first rank with
its unprecedented indices of the economic growth in the last two years.

If the economic growth in Armenia continues at the average rate of the
last 5 years, Armenia will reach the medium index of the 27 European
        countries in 2023.

The key branch in GDP: the construction's high rates of growth
continue, moreover, it provided half of the GDP growth in 2006. It
is one of the peculiarities of the economic development of Armenia
        during the last years.

At the same time the index of the apartments' construction is not
high as compared with the CIS countries.

In regard to the industry, GDP decreased in the spheres of cigarette,
        chemistry and gold xxxellery

A growth of productivity is recorded in the agricultural sphere.

The 2,9% index of inflation is close to the medium index of the 27
        European countries.

Unemployment decreased and reached to 7,4%, the medium monthly wages
        increased.

Head of the World Bank's Armenian Office Aristomene Varudakis spoke
about the following challenges for Armenia: development of other
branches besides construction, adoption of the amendments of the
second generation, improvement of the investments' atmosphere,
        stimulation of the rivalry, etc.
How come Armenia will only reach the medium level of the West (EU)? But not higher than that? I am interested to know.

              02.05.2009 17:00 GMT
              PanARMENIAN.Net

The prospect of Ukraine and other post-Soviet countries’ membership in EU may become an actual issue in 5-10 years’ time in case of the proper implementation of “Eastern Partnership” program, said Ruprecht Polents, member of Foreign Affairs Committee of Bundestag.

According to him the initiative aims to establish maximum close ties among eastern neighbors. As noted by Mr. Polents, the program does not promise anything in terms of further prospects of membership. [.....]

Iran to start piping gas to Armenia this week
                Tehran Times Political Desk

TEHRAN -- National Iranian Gas Export Company Managing Director Seyyed Reza Kasaiizadeh announced on Sunday that Iran will start shipments of natural gas to Armenia this week.

Kasaiizadeh told PIN that he would be leaving for Armenia today/tomorrow at the head of a delegation to attend the opening ceremony for the Iran-Armenia gas pipeline.

According to the deal signed in May 2004, Armenia will pay for the gas with electricity it produces at a Soviet-era nuclear power plant.

The NIGEC managing director said the pipeline has a diameter of 30 inches and runs for 113 kilometers from Tabriz, East Azerbaijan Province to the Iran-Armenia border.

The two countries had originally agreed to finalize the project in January 2007, but the Armenians later said they were not ready, Kasaiizadeh added.

He explained that the volume of gas exports could rise to 4 million cubic meters a day in 2011 and to 6.3 million cubic meters a day afterwards.

Kasaiizadeh stated that Armenia has expressed its readiness to receive Iranian gas, and added, “One of the main goals of the trip is to finalize the export of gas to Armenia.

                • Armenia further drifting away in Development among the worlds poorest nations?

US Administration budget cuts aid to Armenia, breaks military parity and promise

This just tells you that Mr Obama has not kept his promises to ensure world order and prosperity will be ensured for the worlds poorest nations (including former USSR Republics excluding Russia.

I am disappointed that the EU (Western World Power) has not said anything, the EU should also be increasing their Aid to the third world. But have we heard anything from the Wealthy and Powerful EU? No because they dont care either about the worlds poorest countries.

I am also not happy with my Country (Canada) which has not kept its promises either to assist the third world in Africa, Latin America, Caribbean, Pacific, and Third World Asia to achieve their UN Millennium Development Goals. Canada has also not achieved to increase its Aid ratio to GDP. The EU and US seem to want to strive for a world free of poverty and hunger but they are not doing anything to stand by that commitment of the West (EU,US, Canada). Yes only a couple of EU States have reached the UN Aid to ratio GDP target but the whole of the EU needs to do it not just certain EU States.
