What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

I read the comments and I have to disagree with one thing. USA/Israel wouldn't use neither Azerbaijan nor Armenia to war against Iran while they have their imperial powers established in Iraq. The only thing this article proves is how Azerbaijan is desperate to make Armenia look bad, I'm actually glad it was published. Intelligent people will see right through it, while stupid people will fall for it, but who gives about idiots like that anyway.

The article is a joke.........it even suggests that if it wasn't for Tehran's dirrect support Artsakh would have fallen a long time ago.

Not only the website comes out looking stupid, they loose credibility in eyes of lesser informed about the conflict.

Now it's Azerbaijan's turn to conduct a similar poll to the one presented by ArmeniaNow.
          -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
          Some Azerbaijanis for Nagorno-Karabakh’s independence
          18:38 / 04/30/2010

According to poll results, 0.8% of respondents in Azerbaijan are for Nagorno-Karabakh’s independence. “Let them live as they like,” they said. 1news.az reported that the poll was conducted by the PULS organization under a project implemented with the sponsorship of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation (Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, FES) and involved 1,000 Azerbaijani citizens.

70.4% of the respondents are against any compromise over Nagorno-Karabakh’s final status as a result of peaceful settlement of the conflict (59.4% in Jan 2007), 8.9% of the respondents are for granting Nagorno-Karabakh a cultural autonomy and local government, and 5.7% for an autonomy similar to that of Nakhichevan. Only 9.5% of the respondents are for a referendum in Nagorno-Karabakh provided Azerbaijani refugees return to Nagorno-Karabakh.

As regards the immediate prospects for the Nagorno-Karabakh problem, 42.5% of the respondents said the “neither war nor peace” situation will continue; 40.7% believe in progress in the peace process; 15.7% think hostilities will be resumed.

On the threshold of parliamentary elections in Nagorno-Karabakh, the Sociometer center held a poll, which showed that 84.4% were against any compromise over Nagorno-Karabakh, and 93% of the respondents were against the return of Nagorno-Karabakh to Azerbaijan.

Today.Az » Politics » "Killer's presence in Baku was very suitable for Armenian secret services"

            30 April 2010 [16:48] - Today.Az

Interview with Doctor of Law, an expert in the field of combating terrorism Kamil Salimov.

As you know, gunman Farda Gadirov killed 12 and injured 13 people in the Azerbaijan State Oil Academy a year ago on April 30. During the legal proceedings, Public Prosecutor Abdulla Yusifov said that the law enforcement agencies are searching for a Georgian citizen of Armenian origin Martin Gumashyan, who ordered the mass shooting in the first place. How would you comment on another Armenian track in the terrorist attack against the civilian population of Azerbaijan?

We can put forward our own predictions. But bodies that investigate the matter have the concrete evidence. But at the same time, I note that that there are different forms of terrorism.

Gaining independence after the collapse of Soviet Union, Armenia, providing full support to the policy of terrorism at the state level, turned terrorism into one of the main ways of carrying out its aggressive policy. Numerous facts and materials of judicial investigations show that all terrorist acts against the civilian population of Azerbaijan were funded by the Armenian authorities and implemented by special services of this country.

A total of 13 people were killed and 42 were wounded in an explosion at an electric train between "28 May" and "Ganjlik" metro stations of Baku on July 3, 1994. This terror act was committed by Azerbaijan citizen Azer Aslanov. He was taken prisoner and was later recruited by the Armenian secret service for secret cooperation on January 13, 1994.

One can also bring a huge number of examples how Armenians carried out attacks against peaceful Azerbaijani population, exploding buses, trains, helicopters. So, one cannot exclude involvement of the Armenian side to the tragedy in ASOA.

According to the investigation, Farda Gadirov was recruited by the Armenian side in Georgia. Can we say that this neighboring and friendly country unwittingly becomes a place of recruitment of Armenian individuals to commit terrorist acts in Azerbaijan?

To begin with, Armenian secret service recruit persons to commit terrorist acts in Azerbaijan not only in Georgia. For example, a passenger train standing on a siding at Baku railway station was blown up on June 2, 1993. The perpetrator of this crime Igor Khatkovsky was hired in one of the regions of Russia, then received training in Armenia, after which he was sent to Azerbaijan.

Farad Gadirov was recruited by the Armenian side on the territory of Georgia because he is a native of this country and Georgia is very close to Azerbaijan and is home to many Azerbaijanis who often come to Azerbaijan to visit relatives and friends. So, Gadirov’s presence in Baku was very suitable to the Armenian secret services.

How Azerbaijan can counter the threat of Armenian terrorism?

There are interstate treaties on protection against terrorist attacks on specific strategic facilities, for example the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline. In addition, there are agreements between Azerbaijan and a number of states, in particular with Georgia on cooperation in combating terrorism. Under this agreement, Georgian special services must inform the Azerbaijani side of the possible attacks on the territory of our country and recruitment of persons for this purpose. Similarly, Azerbaijan should also share this kind of information with Georgia.

History of Armenian terrorism has many cases when diplomats in third countries became victims of terrorism. Does it mean that domestic diplomats working in different countries are at risk of becoming victims of Armenian terrorists?

Such a threat can never be ruled out. The Azerbaijani special services should take control of the diplomatic representation of Azerbaijan in various countries around the world working actively with the local security forces in this matter.

Azerbaijan's Defence Ministry stokes war of words with Armenia
              Wed 28 April 2010 | 14:28 GMT Text size:

              Defence Ministry
The Defence Ministry in Baku has issued a statement talking up Azerbaijan's military capacity and accusing the Armenians of running scared.

It is the latest in a tit-for-tat exchange of comments which began with a meeting at the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry, chaired by President Aliyev.

'The well-grounded statements made by Mr President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev at the meeting of the Defence Ministry on 23 April, Minister Safar Abiyev’s report to the head of state that the army is ready to fight and other statements prompted a wide response not only in the region, but also in the whole world,' Defence Ministry spokesman Lt-Col Eldar Sabiroglu said in the statement issued today.

He described the meeting last Friday as very significant.

'No doubt the results of the meeting will be seen. If Azerbaijan starts to liberate the occupied lands, Armenia will inevitably be defeated. The provision of our army with modern weapons, military vehicles, the combat spirit of our soldiers, the unanimity of the president and people create great opportunities for it. The question may arise: why is the process being delayed?

'The work done, Azerbaijan’s efforts for the resolution of the conflict give grounds to say that there is no need to seek a secret reason for this. The only factor is that our country hoped the activity of the Minsk Group and other international institutions towards the peaceful solution to the conflict would produce results. Azerbaijan did not want bloodshed in the region again. This was the essence of Mr President’s speech at the meeting. But as has been seen, Armenia and some known forces impede the realization of our peaceful policy. Is there any other way in the present circumstances? Of course, not,' he said.

The Armenian Defence Ministry said after the 23 April meeting that its army was more combat-ready than ever. Eldar Sabiroglu dismissed their response and indirectly accused Armenia of hiding under Russian protection.

'If the ministry of the enemy country, which was trying to remind us with its statement, could refresh its rusty memory and see the truth without dirty tricks, it would realize who, i.e. which country, "presented" Azerbaijani land to Armenia during the first Nagorno-Karabakh war. It seems we need to repeat it. Armenia is not brave enough to wage war alone. It is encouraged by the forces in whose shadow it takes refuge.

'We are probably making ourselves clear. Otherwise [Armenian Defence Minister] Seyran Ohanyan, who is the killer of children, and others like him, could not boast of "heroism". The world knows about the troubles of whales at the bottom of the ocean, but closes its eyes to the Armenian disease…'

'The supreme commander-in-chief said the Azerbaijani land had been occupied for long years with no basis in international law and our cultural, religious and historic monuments had been destroyed in all the occupied lands, our mosques ruined and historic exhibits stolen from our museums by Armenian vandals.

'The president said we could not endure such cruelty and injustice. We must ensure that we can liberate our land by force at any time. If we look at the history of war, we can see one truth. There are occasional cases in history when a country at war has fired on the holy site of another country and looted everything in its path. One of these few dreadful cases is the Armenian vandalism that we faced at the end of the 20th and start of the 21st century.'

Sabiroglu said the Armenian Defence Ministry’s statement showed that the Armenians were afraid.

'Therefore they try to protect themselves by making stupid and false ideas statements, their domestic situation is bad. I would like to finish by quoting the chief of the Armenian General Staff, Yuriy Khachaturov, as reported by News Armenia several days ago. He said: “If almost an equal number of recruits were called in 2004-2009, thanks to which we were able to maintain the proper level of staffing, from 2010 to 2016 we will have problems and the number of conscripts will decrease." We have not changed a word. But Khachaturov seems to have stepped back from the problem. Last year the Armenian Defence Ministry could not staff several military units because of a lack of conscripts. I think there is no need for comment.'

azeris are trying every way to depict Armenians as "non-humans" so the people will support the war. During WW2 the Soviets depicted the Germans as monsters and vice-versa. When the POW were marched in the center of the capital the people realized that these were not monsters but were people. Azeris are combining every propaganda move from the past like the Big Lie (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Lie). They are backwards people.
