I also discovered this today on PanArmenian.net which is also great to see! Is business finally picking up on the Armenian side? Also did not know the information I bolded which is a gross violaton of Eurovision rules. They should be immediately disqualified of their 3rd place finish.

Eurovision 2009: Baku assumes the right to Armenian monument, Iranian mausoleum of poets

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Azerbaijan which urged Eurovision 2009 organizational committee to remove We and Our Mountains Armenian monument from the video representing Armenia, has assumed the right to an Iranian mausoleum.

It is not enough that Azerbaijan showed indignation over the monument We and our Mountains which is situated in Nagorno Karabakh, this country was not ashamed of showing Iranian Maqbaratoshoara (mausoleum of poets in Tebriz) in a video representing Aysel and Arash.

Iranian media and diplomatic coops have been already notified of it.

Besides, during the voting in the contest, measures were taken to prevent Azeris from voting for Inga and Anush Arshakyans. The extension to be dialed in case for voting for Armenia was blocked.

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Azeri was deprived the possibility to vote for Armenia’s song at the Eurovision 2009”. In a final tournament all means have been taken in Azerbaijan to prevent their counterparts from voting for the song of Anush and Inga Arshakians representing Armenia.

According to a group of Azeri Internet users, during broadcasting of the Eurovision contest the part of the screen with phone number to call and vote for Armenian participants, was hidden. As a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter was told in Armenian Public Television (APT), APT had been already informed about illegal behavior of Azeri side and submitted a complaint to the organizational committee of the contest.

It’s worth mentioning, that Armenia gave 1 point for the song of Azeri participants.

According to voting results, Inga and Anush Arshakians, who represented Armenia at the Eurovision international contest, took the 10th place.

even in a friendly tournament like eurovision azeris still have to cheat by getting persian singers to represent there country, by not letting azeris vote for Armenians, by whining to russia about Armenia using an Armenian monument in its video and then they go and use an Iranian monument claiming it as there own. they r dirty lying, cheating, whiners. hopefully there are repercussions for there actions from Iran and Armenia.

I agree. They sound like a little helpless mouse...This is not their first time obviously, as I said in the other thread; this is becoming a habit for them. A couple of days ago, during Tehran's International Book Fair, the "Azeri" ambassador visits Armenia's stall and protests against the map of Karabakh being there next to Armenia's and asks the Iranian organizing committee to remove it but their request is being rejected and the map remains there till the closing day of the fair.

I agree. They sound like a little helpless mouse...This is not their first time obviously, as I said in the other thread; this is becoming a habit for them. A couple of days ago, during Tehran's International Book Fair, the "Azeri" ambassador visits Armenia's stall and protests against the map of Karabakh being there next to Armenia's and asks the Iranian organizing committee to remove it but their request is being rejected and the map remains there till the closing day of the fair.

I love how azeris spend there time and money. instead of giving money to the poor they r spending money on useless things.
1.) A Russian tourist site put Artsakh with Armenia, its unacceptable, call them and whine about it until they change.
2.) A Ukrainian tourist site put Artsakh with Armenia, its unacceptable, call and whine.
3.) Armenia put an Armenian monument in the video, its unacceptable, call Russia and whine about it.
etc., etc.,....
the list goes on. they just keep trying to find small things like these and blow them out of proportion.

Apparently Armenia isnt out of the blue yet regarding the shooting in baku.

Azeri police look into Armenian link in Baku university shooting

The Azerbaijani authorities have said the gunman who shot and killed
13 people, including himself, at the State Oil Academy in Baku on 30
April was linked to a Georgian citizen of Armenian origin.

In a joint statement carried by the APA and Turan news agencies on 15
May, the Interior Ministry and the Prosecutor-General's Office said
that the 29-year-old gunman, Farda Qadirov, had met Sergey Yegorovich
Grigoryan "on a regular basis" while in Georgia in October-November
2008.

Together with the 48-year-old Grigoryan, Qadirov, also a citizen of
Georgia, bought a Makarov pistol from a Tbilisi shop for 500 Georgian
lari (305 dollars), the statement read, adding that investigators were
looking into the possibility of Grigoryan's involvement in the attack
on the Oil Academy.

Some Azerbaijani media had earlier speculated that the shooting might
have been masterminded by Armenia, which is in a state of war with
Azerbaijan over the latter's breakaway Nagornyy Karabakh region.

They hacked the ARTN (Armenian-Russian Television Network) website earlier today but it's already back up and running. They had put their ugly flag over the website claiming that soon their flag will be on the "We Are Our Mountains" monument.

I don't know if you had a chance to visit their stall but how poor and classless they had represented their country at the fair...
