/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Al Hadara Al Arabia printing house famous for publishing extremist literature issued a book containing false information of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.

As PanARMENIAN.Net came to know from informed sources, the publication was sponsored by the Azerbaijani Embassy in Egypt.

The source said that a group of leading professors of Alexandria University protested the publication.

This is good but obviously the sum of money is not enough. The source is an azerbaboon website claiming we are attempting to Armenianize an Armenian city... lol, their pseudohistory is just too funny but they shove it down people's throats so much that people start believing it.

Armenia to spend $118,000 of donations from different states on Armenization of Shusha in 2009

Baku. Elnur Mammadli – APA. Armenian government will spend $118,000 of the donations made by Russia, US, Iran, France and other states in 2009 on Armenization of the town of Shusha. Organization for Protection of Historical and Cultural Monuments in the Occupied Azerbaijani Territories told APA that the aim was to make the town of Shusha a religious, cultural capital of Armenians.

Therefore, Armenian government will spend a part of the funds allocated by the financial organizations of Russia, Iran, US and France on Shushi Fund. The fund launched campaign to introduce over 220 houses of social, cultural, historical and scientific importance, over 500 historical, cultural and architectural monuments dating back to the 17-19th centuries in the occupied town of Shusha as the monuments belonging to Armenians.

The money will be spent to publish construction plans, photos, maps of architectural monuments and buildings of cultural, historical importance, book “Shusha and Artsakh in the 12-19th centuries”, study the history of Shusha and Karabakh in Armenia’s State Archives, caves around Shusha, publish the first volume of the book of selected works by Armenians about “Struggle for Karabakh”, establish Cultural Center for studying “Culture of Shusha”, get materials about Shusha from the state archives of St. Petersburg and prepare plan of cultural events for next year.

There are no POWs and hostages NKR

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ The Azerbaijani State Commission on POWs, the missing and hostages has recently presented its final report of 2008, in which it has particularly mentioned that 39 Azerbaijanis are allegedly in captivity in Nagorno Karabakh.

The NKR State Commission on POWs, the missing and hostages qualifies this message as a regular disinformation, aimed at discrediting the NKR authorities, and as an attempt to mislead the international community. The NKR State Commission declares with responsibility that there are no POWs and hostages in the territory under the jurisdiction of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic.

The NKR authorities, strictly following the principles of the Geneva conventions, after the military phase of the conflict with Azerbaijan, have repatriated all the hostages to the Azerbaijani party, via the intermediary of the International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC). Presently, the NKR corresponding bodies timely inform the offices of the ICRC and OSCE accredited in Stepanakert of any fact of the Azerbaijani servicemen’s and civilians’ desertion to Karabakh, who are later repatriated to the Azerbaijani authorities without any precondition. Representatives of the mentioned international organizations have free access to all the institutions of detention, which rules out the possibility of hiding the fact of the Azerbaijani hostages’ being in the NKR territory.

The NKR State Commission draws attention to the fact that repeated suggestions of the republic’s leadership to establish direct contacts with the analogous structure of Azerbaijan for solving the issue of POWs, the missing and hostages effectively, have not been given an adequate answer by official Baku. Moreover, the Azerbaijani authorities keep on politicizing such a humanitarian and sensitive issue as the searching of the missing and the release of hostages, for getting doubtful propaganda dividends. The recent fact of spreading the wittingly false information evidently testifies to this.

Azerbaijan claims Armenian, Iranian territories

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ The Azeri community of Sweden posted on its website “a geographical map of modern Azerbaijan” which includes Azerbaijan (within the Azeri SSR borders), Western Azerbaijan (Armenia) and Northern Azerbaijan (Atrpatakan Iranian province or Southern Azerbaijan).

The map guideline says that these territories belong to Azerbaijan, according to the Treaties of Gyulistan and Turkmanchai signed between the Russian and Persian Empires.

It’s worth mentioning that the website is available in the Azeri and Swedish languages.

According to www.armenica.org editor-in-chief Vahagn Avedian, the website contains information about the Nagorno Karabakh conflict and the problem of “Southern Azerbaijan” and circulates letters and statements in the Swedish parliament to attract MPs’ attention to these issues.

Gross mistake on the website of Freedom House

Freedom House has placed the Map of Freedom on its official website.

Along with the three independent states of the South Caucasus, the map also mentions the breakaway regions of South Ossetia, Abkhazia and Nagorno-Karabakh with the indication of their respective parent countries in the parentheses. Whereas both South Ossetia and Abkhazia are referred to Georgia, Transdniester and Chechnya are referred respectively to Moldova and Russia, it is absolutely confusing, if not appalling, to notice that Nagorno-Karabakh is mentioned on Freedom House’s Map of Freedom as being part of two countries at the same time – Armenia and Azerbaijan. Obviously, Freedom House will fail to provide credible reference to any international document as a legal basis for its completely arbitrary decision, should it be asked to do so. It is interesting that even Kosovo is mentioned as part of Serbia, despite the fact that 54 UN member-states have officially recognized the new independent state on the Balkans, including the ones that provide direct funding to Freedom House. It is also interesting that Freedom House continues to consider both South Ossetia and Abkhazia to be the integral part of Georgia, despite the two regions were officially recognized by Russia and Nicaragua, whereas Nagorno-Karabakh’s affiliation only to Azerbaijan is questioned, even despite the breakaway region is not recognized even by Armenia! What makes all of a sudden Freedom House indicate Nagorno-Karabakh as being jointly part of the two countries at the same time? Which countries or international organizations have ever recognized this unalienable part of Azerbaijan to be an "Armenian-Azerbaijani condominium", prompting Freedom House reflect this absurd on its so-called Map of Freedom?

Armenian Ministry of Communication and Transport files claim against Azerbaijan due to the interference with Armenian air

"Armenian Ministry of Communication and Transport filed a claim against Azerbaijan to the International Telecommunication Union", said Azerbaijani Minister of Communication and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov.

He said the claim states that the television and radio programs of Azerbaijan have recently started to interfere with the Armenian air.

"Today Azerbaijan with its neighbors conducts broadcasting in the framework of protocols of the International Telecommunication Union. In 2008 the reserve fund of the president allotted funds for strengthening coverage of frontier areas.

I think this interference comes not from Azerbaijan. It is a result of the shortcomings in the technical works of Armenia", said Abbasov.

The Minister noted that transmission stations are set in 13 regions of the country as instructed by the president.

"After completion, interference with Azerbaijani air will stop", said Abbasov.

Yes, read about it too, but still I think they are exaggerating the numbers and blowing it out of proportions again. Never heard of most of the sites, neither in Armenian, nor in Russian or English, so it all seems like good old Alyev style propaganda

I've tried some of those sites and they work so they can't even hack our sites properly lol
