I think that the attempted appointment of Acemoglu as ambassador to France is part of a continued campaign by the Turkish government to weaken Diaspora Armenians because he would then have to follow the Turkish line according to which the genocide did not take place.
Kobe Bryant's appointment as the Turkish Airline's "Global Brand Ambassador" was also a step in that direction, as well as what happened in Argentina during the summer of 2010... What else do they have in mind?
