1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

It's because the people making the decisions in the State Department/CIA are predominately Zionists and xxxs. Zionists have a historic hatred towards Armenians. But of course, there's the fact that we are a strong ally of Russia and Iran, and this will naturally annoy the US. As long as Turks are part of NATO, Zionists are in control in US, America is going to remain an unfriendly country.

Here is an article written by Arend Jan Boekestijn, a lecturer of the history of international relations at Utrecht University in the Netherlands. It is an insidious piece, one that espouses moderation and normal relations on "both sides" (OMG, so objective) but then presents the reader with Armenian genocide denialist propaganda straight out of Bilkent University's History Department. I have noticed that Armenian genocide denial and obfuscation seem par for the course with these European integrationist publications, so readers beware.

Yikes. Somebody has uncovered an anti-Armenian mailing list run by Azerbaijanis and put their exchanges up for all to see: http://vs.ananun.am/?p=2433 (some of their emails are in Russian)

Sorry if this is old news.

I'm officially out of control. I can't get over how hilarious (but also disturbing) some of these emails are. I've been sifting through their effluvia for the past hour. The following is my favorite, from a certain Adil Baguirov:

To make it short: Caucasus is not Western Europe, Armenia are not Swedes or Finland. You have examples of USSR (incl Azerbaijan SSR), Ottoman Empire, Byzantine Empire to remind you how quickly Armenians spread even in most «monolithic» societies, get to positions of power, influence, and strength, at the expence of Turkic/Muslim people. The longer Azerbaijan is able to continue the course of being somewhat isolated from Armenian influence from inside, the better. Once Armenians will get back, it will start again – marrying of Armenian women, giving posts of deputy ministers and ministers to them, selling lands (legally), entire quarters in large cities becoming Ermenikend, political correctness in everything, etc. Azerbaijanis will fall asleep, being inherently apolitical and inactive, not to mention undisciplined and disorganized, people.
There's also an exchange about one of them meeting "Monte Melkonian's killer." One of the participants admits that every man of a certain age in the Azerbaijani army claims to have killed him.

I think he found a certain fame on the Russian-language section of the Wikipedia propaganda factory. Then he and a bunch of co-conspirators got banned for being too blatant in their plotting. He is probably still around under many other names, and the conspirators are all active on the English-language Wikipedia. Probably Wikipedia got a fat donation from some Aliev "foundation".

Netherlands state TV introduces Azerbaijan’s occupied Nagorno Karabakh region as “sovereign state”
Baku – APA. “Dutch journalist Patrick Ladiers informed the audience about the existence of a new route to travel to the “Nagorno Karabakh Republic”, which has not been recognized by any state or international organizations, in the BNN's “3 op Reis” (3 on Tour) travel broadcasting on the Nederland 3 (Netherlands 3) TV channel on November 11.

He didn’t even avoid of introducing the so-called regime as “a sovereign state”, which has its own flag and territory, and recommended those wishing to travel to Nagorno Karabakh, to address the Armenian embassy in the Kingdom of the Netherlands,” press service of the Amsterdam-based Benelux Azerbaijanis Congress (BAC) told APA.

Benelux Azerbaijanis Congress officially appealed to BNN channel regarding the program that does not reflect reality, focuses on Armenian lies and aspersions. The appeal gives detailed information about the occupation of 20 percent of Azerbaijani territories by Armenia, savageries committed by Armenia against the civilians in Azerbaijan’s town of Khojaly, steps taken by our country towards peaceful resolution of Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno Karabakh, the fact that Nagorno Karabakh was historically Azerbaijan’s territory, unambiguous recognition of Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity by states and international organizations.

BAC demanded BNN channel, the journalist to apologize to the Azerbaijani people and remove the program from the website. The representatives of the Congress expressed their hope that such programs will be not broadcasted on the channel any more.

3 op reis is a travel program, no journalism program. BNN informs travelers in an open and neutral manner. Patrick travels for this program to areas with a tumultuous past. This week is that Nagorno Nagaorno.

BNN knows the political situation in Nagorno Karabakh. Patrick says in this broadcast also on the history and the conflict in Karabakh, without taking a position. "

Y'all can check and harass Aliyev's tweets here: https://twitter.com/presidentaz

                      --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Azeri president says Armenia is a country "of no value"

Nov 20 (Reuters) - Azeri President Ilham Aliyev took his verbal attacks on arch enemy Armenia onto Twitter on Tuesday, calling his Caucasus neighbour a "colony" run from abroad.

Aliyev and his government have tried to boost their presence online, where dissident Azeri bloggers and members of the Armenian diaspora regularly attack Azerbaijan's human rights record.

"Our main enemy is the Armenian lobby ... Armenia as a country is of no value. It is actually a colony, an outpost run from abroad, a territory artificially created on ancient Azerbaijani lands," Aliyev said in a tweet microblog.

War between ethnic Azeris and Armenians erupted in 1991 over Azerbaijan's mainly Armenian-populated Nagorno-Karabakh region, which Armenian-backed forces seized along with seven surrounding Azeri districts.

A truce was signed in 1994, but there was no peace treaty, and violence still flares sporadically along Azerbaijan's border with Armenia and a frontline with Nagorno-Karabakh.

Oil-producing Azerbaijan, host to oil majors BP, Chevron and ExxonMobil, frequently threatens to take the mountain enclave back by force, and has spent heavily on its armed forces, though it says it favours diplomacy.

Armenia and Azerbaijan failed to make peace in internationally mediated talks last year and have been hurling angry rhetoric at each other ever since, although analysts do not yet detect any drift into a new armed conflict.

"We are conducting talks and at the same time building up our military strength," Aliyev said in another tweet, adding that Baku would continue its efforts to isolate its neighbour.

"Azerbaijan grows stronger and more powerful by the year, while Armenia weakens and declines every year ... We will continue our efforts to isolate Armenia."

Armenian officials were not available to comment on the statements.

Nagorno-Karabakh has run its own affairs with heavy Armenian military and financial backing since the war.

Azerbaijan accuses ethnic Armenian lobbies, active in France and the United States, of blackening its international image and has worked to counter this, notably by hosting the Eurovision song contest this year.
