Khojalu tragedy: Azeri lie exposed

The Azerbaijani side, including government agencies, is trying to resort to new falsifications to xxxxxle Armenians in the mud. Using pictures of the people killed in Kosovo, a Kurdish child killed in a disaster and others, the Azeri side is trying to present them as proofs of the Khojalu tragedy.
On February 24, the xocali.net website was presented. The website is designed to expose the Azerbaijani falsification.
Speaking at the presentation, Armine Adibekyan, Chairwoman of the Initiative to Prevent Xenophobia NGO, and Samvel Martirosyan, an information security expert, presented the history of distortion of facts about the by Khojalu strategy in 1992.
To expose the falsifications, the NGO created the http://xocali.net/ website.
About 20 false pictures have been found. The Azerbaijani side used them to cause the international community to form a negative opinion on Armenians. Adibekyan reported that Azerbaijani are using pictures of Kosovo pogroms of 1999 and others.
The lists of victims have been falsified by Azerbaijan’s government agencies. Specifically, the name of one person is spelled in different ways as though it were several people.
Director of the Institute-Museum of the Armenian Genocide Hayk Demoyan and the political scientist Levon Melik-Shahnazaryan provided the results of their surveys to the http://xocali.net/ website. Specialists from the openarmernia.com, as well as Public Relations and Information Center, RA Presidential Staff, rendered their assistance to the project.
The http://xocali.net/ website has Russian, English and Azerbaijani versions. The French, German and Persian versions will be available soon.

Armenians displaced from Abkhazia: Hraparak

Armenians of Abkhazia estimated at 30% of the population are recently pressurized, Hraparak reads.
According to the source, the attempts to displace them from the country are made. Abkhazians stirred up by Russians demand that Armenia recognizes independence of Abkhazia, otherwise they will not be allowed to stay in the country.
Armenian authorizes are aware of the situation, but take their time to make steps, as any move might bring to negative reaction by Georgia affecting state of Abkhazian Armenia

Recent information that Armenians of Abkhazia are pursued is untrue, Garegin Ghazaryan – head of Abkhazian Armenian community and President’s Aide for Armenian affairs told NEWS.am. Ghazaryan commented on information spread by Armenian media that Abkhazian Armenians (30% of population) are recently pressurized. According to some sources, Abkhazians stirred up by Russians demand that Armenia recognizes independence of Abkhazia, otherwise they will not be allowed to stay in the country.
“Armenians do not interfere in Abkhazia’s policy, they just live as average citizens. Thank God, Armenians live and succeed. The number of Armenians does not reduce but increase. Don’t worry about us,” Ghazaryan said, recalling that NKR President Bako Sahakyan met with local community in the course of his visit to Sokhumi for inauguration ceremony of Sergei Bagapsh.
Ghazaryan also asked to assist Abkhazian Armenians to preserve their national identity instead of spreading misinformation.Comment

FATF included Azerbaijan in “black list”
Inter-governmental organization on combat of money laundering and terrorist financing – FATF (Financial Action Task Force of Money Laundering) issued the list of states where anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing (AML/CFT) deficiencies remain and those demonstrating certain progress in improving its AML/CFT regime.
Azerbaijan, Antigua and Barbuda, Bolivia, Greece, Indonesia, Yemen, Qatar, Kenya, Morocco, Myanmar, Nepal, Nigeria, Paraguay, Syria, Sudan, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Trinidad and Tobago, Turkey and Ukraine are included in the list.
FATF was established by Great Seven in 1989.

Czech Culture Minister refused to participate in Azeri event

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Armenia’s Ambassador to the Czech Republic Ashot Hovakimian visited a Czech village of Lidice, where the Azerbaijani Embassy jointly with Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Azer-Czech union are planning “to commemorate Khojalu events”.
Accompanied by Czech Armenians’ spiritual leader, archimandrite Barsegh Pilavchian, Armenia club chairman Tigran Abrahamyan and Orer magazine editor-in-chief Hakob Asatryan, Ambassador Hovakimian met with the head of Lidice village administration and director of Lidice Memorial.
The Armenian Ambassador told about what really happened in Khojalu and produced the false photographs used by the Azeri propaganda machine to mislead the international community.
Head of Lidice village administration Joseph Klima informed that the Czech Minster of Culture refused to attend the Azeri event and assured that the organizers, who tried to attract the villagers’ attention to the event by promising an abundant dinner, will not be allowed to make anti-Armenian statements.
The Nazi destroyed the village of Lidice, Czechoslovakia on June 10, 1942, killing every adult male and fifty-two women. All surviving women and children were then deported to concentration camps, or if found suitable to be ‘Germanized’, sent to the greater Reich. In 1945 The re-establishment of the village began soon after the liberation of Czechoslovakia in May 1945. The place was later declared a national cultural memorial. By the beginning of the 1950s, more than 100 houses were built not far from the original site. Its Rose Garden became symbolic of the continuity of life and was created with a donation of 29 000 rose bushes from 32 countries.

Azerbaijani becomes missing on Georgia-Armenia border

Marneuli. Nizami Mammadzadeh – APA. A resident of Tazakend village of Marneuli region of Georgia, dense-populated by Azerbaijanis, became missing, Chairman of Marneuli-based Sadakhli Revival Movement Sabir Mehdiyev told APA Georgian bureau.
He said Abdullayev became missing when he pastured in Sadakhli village near the Georgia-Armenia border in the evening on February 27. 10 cattle and a horse he pastured were also stolen. Abdullayev’s relatives confirmed this report, Mehdiyev said.
According to preliminary version, Marneuli resident was taken hostage by Armenians.

Soldier of Azerbaijani Army commits suicide
And we have another one...Baku. Teymur Zahidoglu, Hafiz Haydarov - APA. Soldier of the Azerbaijani Army committed suicide. The incident took place in Goran military unit of the Defence Ministry, APA reports.
Chief of Defense Ministry’s press service Eldar Sabiroglu affirmed the fact. He noted that criminal case had been launched on the fact and investigations were underway.
