    Armenian Defense Minister attends drills in Artsakh April 12, 2013 - 17:17 AMTPanARMENIAN.Net - On April 12, President of Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan attended the military exercise with the involvement of several defense army’s subdivisions held in the eastern part of the republic. President Sahakyan stressed the importance of the maneuvers, noting that they contribute to the maintenance of the armed forces’ combat readiness. He handed in valuable presents to a group of servicemen for the successful performance of tasks set during the military exercises. Armenian defense ministry’s delegation headed by acting minister Seyran Ohanyan was present at drills too, Central Information Department at Artsakh President's office reported.

      Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry issues statement on officer’s death in Nakhchivan

      Baku. Hafiz Heydarov – APA. The Ministry of Defense has issued a statement on the death of officer in Nakhchivan.

      The Ministry’s press service told APA that on April 19 at 03:00, lieutenant Mammadov Elshan Mubariz died as a result of the fire opened from the service gun of the soldier of the military unit in Nakhchivan Sharverdiyev Rafael Ali.

      Criminal case has been launched into the fact, investigation is underway.

        Armenian and Lithuanian MODs to cooperate within EU and NATO (VIDEO, PHOTOS)

        YEREVAN. – Along the lines of his official visit to Lithuania, Armenia’s Acting Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan on Thursday met with Juozas Olekas, the Lithuanian Minister of National Defence.

        The interlocutors gave a high assessment to the current level of Armenian-Lithuanian military cooperation, and underscored the need to further develop this cooperation, the Armenian MOD pres service informs. They also reached agreements on enhancing cooperation in several other domains, too, and highlighted the prospects for developing cooperation, specifically within the European Union (EU) and NATO.

        In addition, Ohanyan and Olekas exchanged views on regional security issues.

        On the same day, the delegation led by Armenia’s acting Defense Minister visited the Lithuanian Seimas (Parliament), where it held talks with Seimas’ deputy speaker, chairman of the Standing Committee on National Security and Defence, and members of the parliamentary friendship groups with Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh.

        During Friday’s talks at the Lithuanian MFA, the parties discussed Armenian-Lithuanian relations, cooperation along the lines of the EU Eastern Partnership and NATO, and regional security matters.

        Also, Seyran Ohanyan paid a visit to the Military Academy of Lithuania, met—at Armenia’s Embassy in Lithuania—with representatives of the Lithuanian-Armenian community, and paid tribute to the memory of the defenders of Lithuania’s independence and laid a wreath to their memorial.

            any info if our mig25 can fly or when was last time when it did, also my friends uncle steal this jet from georgia it shot down azeri su25 also in 1993 i think

              Azerbaijan’s army loses one more soldier

              Baku. Fuad Jafarov – APA. Azerbaijan’s army has lost one more soldier.

              The press service of Ministry of Defense told APA that Guliyev Emin Ilgar, 19, soldier of the military unit of the Ministry of Defense, who was drafted from Kapaz District of Ganja city in January, 2013, died as a result of the fire opened from his service gun.

              Investigation is underway on the fact.
