I find it tragic that more and more people are voicing criticism about something they have not read or are taking other critic's words, that are motivated with histeria and are continuation of hysteria about armenian government's custom union joining declaration. They cannot see anything but dark forces behind it "preparing to hand over Artsakh to russkies". Now, Zori is under such hammer for writing something that our intellektuals and karabakh movement have been saying for allmost 70 years. The theme is that Karabakh and Nakhijevan were transfered from iran to russia by gulistan treaty in early 19th century. They were never part of any Azery (which did not exist at that time and was never a part of treaty) or turkic land. That land belongs to it's indigenous population of Armenians, which russia was claiming to represent at that time against iranians. Now it's too late for Nakhijevan, but Karabakh people's struggle is to insert their suvereinity over their land which has never been azery, and as part of historical events leading to gulistan treaty, as an entity and part in that document have their rights which was supposed to be guaranteed by russia(laughable, I know, but if we don't remember this russians will never). And it's time for russia to sober up from honeymooning with baku's petrodollars and take responciblility in recognising Karabakh people's right of self determination as russia has recognised independance of other "territories that were once it's responcibility".
This theme has been voiced regularly before by Zori as well as such heroes as Georgi Movsisian or other Karabakh comitee members.
