Vahram, there are plenty of Armenians from the Diaspora who have invested and done well in Armenia. For ever horror story you hear there are at least 10 to counter it. It just like in daily life. If you go out to eat somewhere, unless it was amazing, you are not going to say much about it, even if the food was good. However, if one or two things did not go well with your experience, you are quite likely to say bad things about the restaurant to others. Same with the evening news, you hear negative stories much more often than positive ones.

'There is a successful dynamic development process, growth of
industrial production and opening up new businesses in all areas
of Nakhchivan'.

The statement came from President Ilham Aliyev at the opening ceremony
of the Nakhchivan-Julfa highway, APA reports.

He noted that Nakhichevan-Sadarak and Nakchevan-Julfa highways will
turn Nakhcivan into an important transit hub.

The President said that Azerbaijan leads the tempo of economic
development, increases the country's GDP. According to the first
quarter of this year, growth in non-oil field was 16%.

Over the past eight years, GDP has tripled, and for the next 10 years
should grow two times. Basically, this should be achieved through
non-oil sector.

Speaking about the development of Nakhchivan, he noted that further
measures will be taken to develop road and transport infrastructure
of Nakhchivan in the future.

The President said that other projects also has implemented
successfully in the country. In particular, natural gas is available
for 100 percent and high-level electricity is provided in all the
regions of Nakhcivan. At the moment, drinking water and sewerage
system projects are implemented and they should be completed till
the end of next year.

The President noted that the same issues related to education and
health. Renovation plan of Nakhchivan City Hospital is prepared.

The President noted that the high-level defense has been established
in Nakhchivan. New air defense and modern artillery systems were
brought and installed in the Autonomous Republic.

I wish i could see one single positive article by the armenian media. It's all dooms-day news. It gives you the impression the only good thing that happened to armenia lately was the 2011 military parade.

Ara that's a good thing! We have little to learn from flattery, but can derive a lot of inspiration from our failures. What we don't want to be is like Azerbaijan, which feels the need to congratulate itself every on every other news story to calm its insecurities. Having a critical media is important: it means freedom of press and greater government accountability.

they deployed Lynx MLRS in nakhchivan. probably upgraded the sole SA-3 there too. The most that worries me is the EXTRA missles with 150km reach, it has GPS guidance too.

sure, but too much negativity can't be good either. I don't remember the last time I read something good on Armenian websites.

Armenian soldier dies in Nagorno-Karabakh

STEPANAKERT.- An Armenian soldier died in unclear circumstances on Friday morning in one of the units of Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Army.

Saro Samvelyan, 19, received a fatal gunshot wound, Army’s press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am. The circumstances are being clarified, an investigation is underway.

I wish our nation develops some precise artillery , or similar to SCUD long range missiles on top of that !

How will develop the IT sector in Armenia will be decisive to our army's future i believe.

Question: Is it possible that Armenia is supplying weapons to the Syrian regime? The two countries have close ties, and Armenia has supplied weapons to Hussein's regime when Iraq was on the verge of civil war.
