The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

Well said, lets hope war will never come.....however we must answer such aggression and must do it intelligently, like our defense minister says.

Also certain responses by Armenian forces under orders from Ohanian may not be known to general public.

If Azeri soldiers start drowning and falling from ladders we know there was an adequate response.

Russian Base In Armenia Signals Role In Possible Karabakh War

Russian troops stationed in Armenia could openly side with it in case of a renewed Armenian-Azerbaijani war for Nagorno-Karabakh, according to their top commander, Colonel Andrey Ruzinsky.

“If Azerbaijan decides to restore jurisdiction over Nagorno-Karabakh by force the [Russian] military base may join in the armed conflict in accordance with the Russian Federation’s obligations within the framework of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO),” Ruzinksy told the Russian Defense Ministry’s “Krasnaya Zvezda” newspaper in a recent interview.

Ruzinksy answered a question about the mission of the Russian base headquartered in Armenia’s second largest city of Gyumri.

That mission was upgraded by a Russian-Armenian defense agreement signed in 2010. The agreement extended Russia’s basing rights in Armenia until 2044. It also committed Moscow to supplying its South Caucasus ally with more weapons and military hardware.

The Russian base, which numbers between 4,000 and 5,000 soldiers, has since been bolstered with modern weaponry, reportedly including Iskander-M tactical ballistic missiles. The Russian military also plans to deploy combat helicopters there soon. The Russian air force unit in Armenia currently has 16 MiG-29 fighter jets.

Armenian officials and pro-government politicians have claimed before that the 2010 defense pact mandates direct Russian military involvement in the Karabakh conflict if Azerbaijan acts on its threats to reconquer the disputed territory. Russian officials have not explicitly confirmed this in their public statements made until now.

The Russian troops in Armenia hold joint exercises and trainings with Armenian army units on a regular basis. Around a thousand soldiers from the two armies, backed up tanks, helicopters and artillery systems, practiced a joint military operation as recently as in August.

According to Ruzinsky, more such war games are planned for next year. “I believe that we need to further develop our field cooperation, if I may put it way,” he said.

The Russian base commander also revealed to “Krasnaya Zvezda” that a group of his senior officers and their Armenian colleagues recently jointly toured “areas of combat engagement.” “We plan to increase such activities next year,” he said without elaborating.

Russian troops stationed in Armenia could openly side with it in case of a renewed Armenian-Azerbaijani war for Nagorno-Karabakh, according to their top commander, Colonel Andrey Ruzinsky.

Curious Russian announcement given that other CSTO statements have denied their involvement in a future Karabakh war. What's also interesting is that in the chance that Russia intervenes on our behalf, they will be fighting an army that they themselves supplied with modern weapons, including sophisticated anti-air defence. My bet is that Russia is sure a war is very unlikely to happen given this Russian announcement.

This won't be the first time russians will have to fight against their own weapons. Their weapons are spread worldwide and in every war their weapons ( anti-air , rpg , anti-tanks , ... ) are used . They have the advantage of knowing their weapons and have the tools to fight against them. So the russian arms in the azeri hands aren't as dangerous as the same arms in russian ( or armenian ) hands

Within the context on this same subject that's being discussed here's another piece of article. Despite the fact that I cannot confirm the credibility of the source:

If Karabakh conflict resumes, 102nd Russian base may intervene - Commander

If Karabakh conflict resumes, 102nd Russian base may intervene - CommanderOctober 31, 2013 | 13:07
In case Azerbaijani leadership decides to restore jurisdiction over Nagorno-Karabakh by force, the Russian #102 base in Armenia may enter confrontation in accordance with treaty obligations of Russia within CSTO, Russian commander said.

In an exclusive interview with Krasnaya Zvezda newspaper, commander of the military base, Colonel Andrey Ruzinsky confirmed presence of Smerch multiple rocket launcher in the territory of Armenia.

The peculiarity of the combat strength of the Russian military base in Armenia is an anti-aircraft missile battalion, equipped with S-300V surface-to-air missile systems, missile battalion which is equipped with systems Buk-M1-2, Smerch artillery battery and an air base with a squadron of MiG-29 combat aircrafts.

Another interesting Story...despite the fact that I won't believe it till I see it implemented.

CSTO PA ready to initiate document on ban to sell weapons to third states

CSTO PA ready to initiate document on ban to sell weapons to third statesOctober 31, 2013 | 18:59
YEREVAN. – The CSTO Parliamentary Assembly is going to study the question on sale of weapons to the third states that pose a threat to the organization, said the chairman of the CSTO PA committee on defense.

“We are interested in bringing closer our legislations so as to speak to each other in understandable terms,” Anatoly Vibornov said.

He recalled that the current legislation does not allow deploying a military bases of a third states in the CSTO area, if one of the member countries is opposing the idea.

“In order to avoid such incidents, we need to develop an agreement between the CSTO countries to ban the sale of weapons to third countries which are not members of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, or are threatening members of the organization, in the event that one of the countries is opposing the deal. I think that in the near future, we will study the issue because it was raised by Armenia,” Vyborny added.

In turn, member of the Armenian delegation Khosrov Harutyunyan stressed that the threat to the national security of a country should be seen as a threat to the entire organization.
