Why can’t we put counter threats in place and announce them.
In case of any mischief act on them.
Then we will be taken seriously.

countermeasures are not the problem....it seems the negotiation process in the OSCE Minsk group and pressure on Sakissian has something to do with it.
Sarkissian needs to go through with his statement that he will be on the first commercial flight from Yerevan to Artsakh. If Azeris can get away with two simultaneous attacks causing the death of an Armenian soldier and a seperate sniper attack that killed another Armenian soldier then surely the President of Armenia can fly to Arstakh and make a statement when he arrives. That will mean alot.

U.S. Los Angeles City Council unanimously adopted a resolution recognizing the Nagorno Karabakh Republic as an independent and sovereign state.

The text of the resolution follows:


RESOLUTION

REPUBLIC OF ARTSAKH


WHEREAS, we take great honor in recognizing the continuing vibrancy of the independent and sovereign REPUBLIC OF ARTSAKH; and

WHEREAS, the REPUBLIC OF ARTSAKH has a long and storied history dating back thousands of years, and holds a cherished place in the Armenian people`s history and culture; and

WHEREAS, the REPUBLIC OF ARTSAKH declared its independence on December 10, 1991, after a long struggle that in some respects continues to this day, and the persistent demand for self-determination was an inspiration to people of many nationalities in the region and was one of the catalysts for the breakup of the former Soviet Union; and

WHEREAS, through the course of the last two decades, the people of the REPUBLIC OF ARTSAKH have shown tenacity and perseverance in the face of war, massacres, economic deprivation and other tremendous hardships; and

WHEREAS, the REPUBLIC OF ARTSAKH has for more than twenty years stayed true and faithful to its citizens by remaining independent while working to bring change and stability to the Caucasus region, and by holding free and fair elections and referendums that were widely declared as a model for the region; and

WHEREAS, on April 24, 2012 the City of Los Angeles recognized its friendship relationship with the city of Shushi in the REPUBLIC OF ARTSAKH;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that by the adoption of this resolution, the City of Los Angeles honors the REPUBLIC OF ARTSAKH and its citizens, and recognizes the sacrifices, dedication and resolve shown by the people of the REPUBLIC OF ARTSAKH in the face of extreme adversity; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Los Angeles extends its best wishes to the REPUBLIC OF ARTSAKH and its citizen for peace, prosperity and continuing success, and calls upon the international community to give appropriate recognition to the REPUBLIC OF ARTSAKH as a free, independent, and sovereign state.

Համաձայն ՀՀ ազգային անվտանգության ծառայության մամուլի ծառայության տվյալների՝ Հայաստանի ԱԱԾ իրականացրած օպերատիվ-հետախուզական միջոցառումների արդյունքում ձեռք են բերվել անհերքելի ապացույցներ, որոնք վկայում են՝ Մարտիրոսյանը, ֆինանսական օժանդակություն ստանալու ակնկալիքով 2013-ի. օգոստոսին սեփական նախաձեռնությամբ դիմել է Վրաստանում Ադրբեջանի դեսպանություն, կապ հաստատել դեսպանության քողի տակ գործող ադրբեջանական հատուկ ծառայությունների աշխատակիցների հետ՝ առաջարկելով իր օգնությունը:

I hope it does not.
Its horrible.

In any event why so many changes to the number 2 dress which essentially is ceremonial rather than concentrating on combat dress.
Do we have so much excess resources to squander like a spoiled bride on fancy dresses.

I like it also. But it's not just French looking. French hat stile comes from Mediterranean, especially North African hat stiles. In early 1800's they even had Mameluke dress stiles very popular in general population, called rostom, after Napoleon's bodyguards whom he brought back from Egipt. By the way, his personal bodyguard was an Armenian Mameluke named Rostam. The Fez was used until mid 20th century in general in Mediterranean basin. Some people mistakenly think it is ottoman, but in reality it was used by allmost all countries in Middle East and North Africa. It has a major place in our recent history and as such, I can see our military using it's influence as most ceremonial outfits are usually based on history. By the way this outfit has had it's influence on US uniforms also, as the uniforms of zuave units in civill war with fezes, red jackets and baggy trousers were influenced by French zuaves. The military flat top hats in this era resemble fezes of a sort.

Ադրբեջանցի զինծառայողների կողմից հունվարի 20-ի գիշերը նախաձեռնած դիվերսիոն փորձից հետո շփման գծում որոշակի լարվածություն կա. ադրբեջանական կողմից կրակոցների ինտենսիվությունը ավելացել է հինգ-վեց անգամ: Այս մասին այսօր խորհրդարանում հայտարարել է Հայաստանի պաշտպանության նախարար Սեյրան Օհանյանը՝ պատասխանելով ՀՀԿ-ական պատգամավոր Նաիրա Կարապետյանի այն հարցին, որ տեղեկատվություն է շրջանառում, որի համաձան երկիրը ձեռք է բերել անվտանգության նոր համակարգեր՝ կապված շփման գծում անհանգիստ իրավիճակի հետ:
