Azerbaijan could be interested to purchase the PARS armoured produced by FNSS of Turkey.
            2/7/14
According to the Azerbaijan Press Agency APA, the Turkish Defense Company FNSS a leading manufacturer and supplier of tracked and wheeled armoured combat vehicles and weapon systems, is going to deliver its products to Azerbaijani market.

They're interested in the 6 wheel version not the 8.

Azerbaijan kept violating the ceasefire over the night
              2/8/14

The Azerbaijani side kept violating the ceasefire regime during the night of February 8, intensively firing in the direction of the Armenian military positions and settlements, Spokesman for the Ministry of Defense of Armenia Artsrun Hovhannisyan told Panorama.am.

Hovhannisyan said that the tensions were not as high as 10 days ago, but the firing was more intensive than 2-3 days ago.

The Spokesman said the Armenian side refrained form returning fire.

                Not quite getting it.
I keep hearing about "observers" and the intense concerne by the outside parties.
Why can't the people who express such concern and send observers see which side is not living up to its word and which is?
How come it's so easy for us to see and not the observers?
With all this live fire on their part and our constant refrain, seems like a no brainer.

Azerbaijan to launch a spy satellite in 2017

Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Today is exactly one year from the launch of the first telecommunications satellite of Azerbaijan - Azerspace-1.

The Ministry of Communications & Information Technologies of Azerbaijan reports that the satellite, commercial operation of which began last July, has managed to attract more than 60 local and foreign channels for their satellite transmission.

"Besides, conclusion of contracts for optical and radar support to public organizations, including law enforcement agencies, is underway. Making of a feasibility study for the second Azerbaijani telecommunications satellite is going to finish in 2015. The FS will be made by Global Resources,” the MCIT informed.

The contract with the company is funded within the framework of a grant agreement between OJSC Azercosmos and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USTDA).

In 2017 Azerbaijan plans to orbit an optical satellite with high resolution and is already in talks with manufacturers on the occasion. High resolution capability allows assigning it to the category of spy satellites. Choice of contractor for the construction of a universal satellite control center for work with such satellites is under completion.

The launch of the low-orbit satellite is scheduled for 2016.
