I can see the comparison between the countries you listed and Armenia's neighbors but they are far from the truth. True, Ecuador fought a brief war with Peru in 1996, and today Correa and uribe are on opposite ends of the political spectrum, but as I have said before, Latin America, and especially the northern Andes nations/ Gran Colombia nations are essentially the same people and if it were not for internal strife after independence all would have been one nation.

Armenia has two genocidal nations, and only thru rape are either people somewhat related to us by blood. Otherwise the very simple facts they are not Christian, don't speak Armenian, and have tried to wipe us out, makes any comparison with Ecuador's situation weak at best.

One thing Armenia has been better at in the past 10-12 years is internal political stability. Ecuador had had, until Correa, multiple presidents in a 12 year span.
For the first time in more than 600 years, Armenia is free and independent, and we are therefore obligated
to place our national interests ahead of our personal gains or aspirations.

Ecuador has fought a lot of wars with Peru, deadly civilian skirmishes at the Colombian border are daily that's why is heavily militarized, since 1942 Ecuador has been xxxxed non-stop by every government and since 1996 no government has finished its rule (and Correa is going through the same path, he's actually screaming for it).

As for the other part, you're right, sorry I had to do something and I couldn't edit my post or put it more precisely explained, the comparison with Turkey and Azerbaijan is at a political basis, historically, culturally, etc. there are huge differences between Armenia and Ecuador as you mentioned, I just wanted to geographically make a comparison.

The thing is both are countries with similarities when it comes to a social, economical, etc. ground, but of course there are major and very important differences which we all know, my point was to explain why I think government's in poor countries don't do nothing. Nothing else.

I figured as much. I also remember reading that Ecuador used to share a border with Brazil, until it fought a war with Peru in the late 1800s or early 1900s. Anyway, I support Ecuador over Peru and Colombia.

The territory of what is know Ecuador has suffered a large number of territorial changes, always getting smaller. What is ironic and plays a large role on the national nostalgia, is that it is the glory of the people and the territory of what is know Ecuador the discovery of the Amazon river, yet it is the only country in the region that has no connection to it.

          Anyways, thanks Armanen jan

Politics is not about the pursuit of morality nor what's right or wrong
Its about self interest at personal and national level often at odds with the above.
Great politicians pursue the National interest and small politicians personal interests

Armenian troops praised for good service while on Afghan mission

The small Armenian contingent deployed in Afghanistan has earned praise from immediate German commanders for effective service and exhibited initiative in protecting strategic facilities in a troubled Afghan city, according to a report by the Armenian Defense Ministry.

A 40-strong Armenian peacekeeping brigade has been on mission to help NATO-led allied forces fight Taliban insurgency in Afghanistan since February 14. The Armenian detachment is tasked with ensuring the security of the strategically important airport of Kunduz. The everyday service of the Armenian personnel, reporting to German command, includes patrolling in the airport and surrounding area, guarding the posts, as well as detecting possible threats.

“In the past three weeks the group has received the high evaluation of the German command for showing high effectiveness in the extra safety means undertaken in the area of the airport upon their own initiative,” the Armenian ministry (www.mil.am) said.
