ISIS is a horrible example. Their only source of advantage is the fact that they are fighting from civilian areas which makes it difficult for a regular army to take care of them...a better example would be to creat a small, highly mobile, mountain groups as Hezbollah did against Israel. 100 ppl, each group consisting of 10 ppl.. Aks and rpgs maybe an anti tank missile. U could create 100 such groups in mountainous areas with small depots underground for them and they can make the advance of highly immobile tanks and bmps in mountainous regions a real hell! At one point in the Lebanese war in 2006, Hezbollah took out more than 30 mirkava M4s in a single day based on this strategy!

Im thinking aks, 1 rpg, 1 anti tank missile system and maybe 1 igla! And the azeris can create their own graves in the mountains!

Both the SU-25 and the A-10 have 30mm guns but the one on the A-10 is huge hydraulic electric monster Chubs.....in fact the A-10 was designed around the gun. The SU-25 is a good tank killer and can still punch a hole in a tank so in real life.

The SU-25 a badass ground support fighter according to A-10 pilots who have flown them. It can hit Mach 0.9 when clean.......the A-10 top speed doesn't even come close to that.

Some of you are drinking lion milk today. The comparison between ISIS and us is pretty retarded actually. The people in Iraq and some parts of Syria welcomed ISIS without any resistance because they were sick of those regimes. No one is going to welcome us into Azerbadjan. The argument that since we cannot 100% control the present border then we might as well make a much larger border is also extremely flawed. Armenia has been doing well in protecting its border for decades and it is this recent escalation that has allowed them to penetrate from new positions. These new positions can be closed and our defenses can be improved and the Azeris cannot maintain this level of aggression. You guys also ignore the fact that neither Turkey nor Russia, nor Iran, nor USA are going to stand by and let this happen. This is not the same Azeri army we faced last time, it has way more weapons and some training to. We have been defending for a long time but defending is different then attacking. We need different weapons, we need different tactics, we need way more men...you guys smokin some bad weed today.

You're not thinking strategically and long-term. The current status qou is weakening us and depopulating our country. How long do you think a country so small and sandwiched can survive?
Turkey and USA are already our enemies and we are in their way. So not much changed there. Russia and Iran would welcome a weakened Azerbaijan (and thus western/turkish influence). Sanctions? our economy is already in the xxxxter, if anything, those pipelines and railway tracks will give Russia( and us) a strategic advantage over the West. It will all be in Russia's sphere.

Օգոստոսի 7-ին հայ-ադրբեջանական հակամարտ զորքերի շփման գծում արձանագրվել է ակտիվ փոխհրաձգություն, որի արդյունքում հակառակորդը կրել է կենդանի ուժի կորուստներ:Ինչպես հաղորդում է Պաշտպանության բանակի մամուլի ծառայությունը, փոխհրաձգության ընթացքում հակառակորդի կողմից արձակված կրակոցից գնդակային վիրավորում է ստացել զինծառայող, 1995-ին ծնված Վիկտոր Շուբերտի Աբրաամովը:

Վիրավորում ստացած զինծառայողն անմիջապես տեղափոխվել է զինվորական հոսպիտալ, նրա վիճակը գնահատվում է կայուն ծանր:

Հայ-ադրբեջանական սահմանի արցախյան հատվածում օգոստոսի 6-ի գիշերը միջադեպ է արձանագրվել. Ադրբեջանի զինված ուժերի զինծառայողներից մեկը, ձեռքերը վեր բարձրացրած, մոտեցել է հայկական դիրքերին։

Times.am հայկական լրատվակայքը փոխանցում է, որ մեր դիրքապահները նկատել են նրան և վստահեցրել, որ կարող է հանձնվել։ Սակայն ադրբեջանական դիրքերից ևս նկատել էին իրենց հանձնվող զինակցին և փորձել են հետ կանչել նրան։ Վերջինս մի պահ վարանել է, այնուհետև քայլել դեպի հայկական դիրքերը, բայց այդ պահին իր ծառայակիցները կրակել ու սպանել են հանձնվող զինծառայողին։

Ռազմինֆոյի աղբյուրները չեն հերքում այս տեղեկությունը։ Ներկայումս հետևում ենք ադրբեջանական աղբյուրներին՝ միջադեպի մանրամասները ճշտելու նպատակով։

Tovuz. Azer Mammadli – APA. Today an Armenian citizen has been detained in the Aghbulaq village of Tovuz district near the Armenia-Azerbaijan border.

The Tovuz District Police Department told APA’s western bureau that the detainee is Petrosyan Artush Dalenovich, a citizen of the Republic of Armenia born in 1969.

Aghbulaq resident Guliyev Royal Ismikhan oglu, 1996, told APA’s western bureau that it’s himself who captured the Armenian citizen on the border.

“I was sleeping home. I heard somebody asking for tea from my mother. So I came out. The Armenian wanted from me a cigarette with a gesture as he saw me. “You have no cigarettes, so you’re asking from me?”, I asked. He took an empty box out of his pocket and showed me. I saw that the cigarette box didn’t look like those made in our country. I began doubting. Then I immediately took the car’s crowbar in order to frighten and laid him down. I asked him where he’d come from. He probable understood Azerbaijani. He said he he’d come from Chinarli. So I took him to the village center and handed him over to servicemen”, he said.

Guliyev said it isn’t plausible that he is 45 years old as was initially said.
Guliyev also said he believes the Armenian could be quite young – nearly 30-35 years old, adding that he had dressed up and had gun photos in his cell phone.

“When I asked, he said his brother is an officer, and the photos in the phone are his brother’s”, added Guliyev.

Armenian citizen Petrosyan Ardush Dalenovich has been handed over to law enforcement bodies

Baku. Hafiz Heydarov – APA. An Armenian citizen has been captured while crossing the Azerbaijan-Armenia border.
The incident happened in the Aghbulaq village of Aghdam, the Tovuz District Police Department told APA.
Villagers captured Armenian citizen Petrosyan Ardush Dalenovich, 1965, and handed him over to law enforcement bodies.
The fact is currently being investigated.

Ադրբեջանական աղբյուրները տեղեկացնում են ՀՀ Տավուշի մարզին սահմանակից Թովուզի շրջան անցած ՀՀ քաղաքացու մասին, որը ներկայումս ձերբակալված է։

Ադրբեջանական ԱՊԱ լրատվական գործակալությունը, հղում տալով Թովուզի շրջանի ոստիկանական բաժանմունքի տվյալներին, գրում է՝ 1965-ին ծնված ոմն Պետրոսյան Արդուշ Դալենովիչի հարցով ներկայումս զբաղվում են իրավապահ մարմինները։

Նկատենք, որ հայկական կողմն այս պահի դրությամբ պաշտոնապես չի արձագանքել այս տեղեկությանը։ Այդուհանդերձ, Ռազմինֆոյին հաջողվել է պարզել, որ Տավուշի մարզում վերոհիշյալ տվյալներով բնակիչ չկա։ Փոխարենը, նույն մարզի սահմանամերձ Չինարի գյուղում բնակվում է 1981-ին ծնված Կարեն Արտուշի Պետրոսյան։ Մեր աղբյուրները վկայում են, որ ամենայն հավանականությամբ ադրբեջանական կողմում հայտնված քաղաքացին հենց նա է. ադրբեջանական կողմն աղավաղել է ՀՀ քաղաքացու անուն-ազգանունը։ Մեզ չհաջողվեց կապ հաստատել Չինարիի գյուղապետ Սամվել Սաղոյանի հետ՝ հավելյալ տեղեկություններ ստանալու։

The only thing that makes sense from what is being posted is an advance northward, not eastward. If this gives us a strategic advantage and cuts the length of the border we need to defend then this makes sense. The grandious plan of conquering Azerbadjan is a fairytale. A political shift in Georgia or anything else that gives us unimpeded access to Russia is very important. It seems many of you still do not understand the game in the middle east. Yes USA trained and supplied the Iraqi army but it does not want a powerful successful Iraq (this is why the gulf wars were fought). USA has always and still does play both sides. It wants ISIS to do exactly what it is doing now because this keeps the region in turmoil and weak and will always be used as an excuse for more USA interventions. We need to be smart for we cannot afford to suffer big losses. Attacking is very different then what we have been doing. Going east is different kind of warfare which requires way more manpower, supply lines, different weapons,.. It also exposes our troops to air assault. Overextending your army over a vast, less defendable terrain is just stupid. The blockade does indeed needto be broken but the answers lie to the north not the east.

The reservoirs are not an option to stop , since in that way the future azerbaran will still have connected borders with georgia , they will only need to divert the pipelines and continue what they always doing ...it's all east till Russian borders not only deterrence.

Thats the only way to ensure safe east borders with no treats , strike new deal with Russia Iran Georgia ..everyone take their share of profite ( Russia Gas oil deals ousting BP sharing and dominating safe caucasus with the others ...the lesser turkish threat the better for all of us , its a free WIN WIN for all of us in the region.
