Re: Nagorno-Karabagh: Military Balance Between Armenia & Azerbaijan
Well, independence day is just around the corner......Maybe they will suprise us with an early parade? Its been almost 2-3 years since the last one
And Armenia's population increased by almost 8-10 thousand in 2013. After years of very slow decline, its a positive, although minuscule, change. And I hear the amount of people leaving the country decreased by almost 13,000 people. (Official numbers).Unlike our neighbor Georgia, which experienced a very small decrease compared to other years... So, positive stuff...I guess. We also gotta remember the Armenians in Artsakh, Javakh, and the rest of Georgia.

Looks like MoD has finally purchased new helmets for the infantry. We saw it slightly going into effect in July-Early August. Now it seems as if it is slowly becoming the norm. I predict by 2015, these new helmets are gonna be full supplied to combat units and reserved!

Armenia has one that has been sitting outside for many years. Alot of steel was used in the construction of the airframe (instead of aluminum, carbon fiber, titanium, etc) and I bet ours is beyond restoration let alone modernization.
Our Mig25 = scrap metal
We need upgraded SU-25s, more combat helicopters, and some Mig-29s for our fledgling Airforce to give it some teeth.B0zkurt Hunter

Its also too bad Mikoyan died before he could even see the MiG-25 in its glory.
gokorik, do you have any idea how much modern Russian helmets cost (6b26, and other variants) when purchased in bulk? I can't seem to find a source, all I see is a bunch of Russian ex-military selling their stuff on ebay
If you could find out the cost per helmet that would be great. I am interested in how much Armenia is spending on this.Last edited by Chubs; 09-18-2014, 08:28 PM.Armenian colony of Glendale will conquer all of California!
