        About knee pads.
I just saw a set selling for $8.99 in surplus store. Assuming it is made in china and markup over a bulk wholesale is 500-1000% in US from chineese source, it should cost no more than $1.00-$1.50 for a set and a single cargo plane transport for a couple of hundred thousand to equip our army.

no bro, BMP3 is not the best variant, since it is more tank destroyer than BMP, since it got large cal. gun. but it still very bad armored, so what is that vehicle, it is probably light tank with crappy armor that can be penetrated with normal rpg7. But how i know we bought 10 BMP3 in 2013.

the parades are once a 5 years both in Armenia and NKR, so next one is in 2016, and 2017 in NKR. they said they will not do parade this year, but it will be military shows and stuff, so i hope they will show something new.

              9-19-14

Combat aircraft and helicopters of the Turkish Air Forces arrived in Azerbaijan to join the next stage of the joint tactical exercises, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan said.

The next stage of the exercises on September 19 will be attended by more than 30 air crafts of Azerbaijan and Turkey, in particular, the fighters "MIG-24”, “F-16" military transport aircraft “"Su-25”, ”C-130 Herkules”, helicopter gunships “Mi-24”, “AH-1W Super Cobra” and military transport helicopter "Mi-17" and “Sikorski UH-60", AzerTag reports.

BMP-3's armor is improved when compared to the BMP-1/2. Why not have a tank destroyer to combat Azeri T90s? Besides, the BMP-3 has a 30mm autofed cannon as well. The BMP-3 is one of the most well armed IFVs in the world. It can combat anything, as it was designed to. Tanks, IFVs, and infantry. Its better than what we have, and we need to buy some

The BMP-3's armor can withstand 30mm rounds, and easily withstand anti-material small arms. It is a threat to Armenian armor, although we have BRDM-2s with ATGMs. If we can do some heavy modernization on those BRDM-2s, and armor it up..then it would be very formidable.

Its also too bad Mikoyan died before he could even see the MiG-25 in its glory.

gokorik, do you have any idea how much modern Russian helmets cost (6b26, and other variants) when purchased in bulk? I can't seem to find a source, all I see is a bunch of Russian ex-military selling their stuff on ebay

If you could find out the cost per helmet that would be great. I am interested in how much Armenia is spending on this.

No way to know. You could try calling Rosoboronexport but I doubt they'll talk to individuals. You wont see the same ridiculous prices as goods from China because competition is nearly non existent in Russia. My gues $40-$100 each.
Better to wait and saveup for Russain helmets that can stop 7.62X54 or 7.62x51(snipers, PKM). As far as I know Israeli is the only country who has designed and announced a helmet that can stop these rounds and be light enough to be worn long term.
I'm sure Russia is finalizing something similar for it future soldier program. Something like this could save ALOT of lives seeing as the head and face are usually what's exposed to small arms fire in trench warfare.
