25 air units participate in Armenia CIS air defense drills

The joint training exercises of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Air Defense Forces have kicked off in Armenia.

The missile and air units of the Russian military base in Armenia and the Armenian Armed Forces are taking part in these drills.

The CIS Air Defense Forces’ cooperation matters are developed during the team training, informed the press service of the Southern Military Okrug (district) of the Russian Federation Armed Forces.

More than 25 air units (fighter planes, helicopters), over 100 special equipments of the anti-aircraft units, and more than 500 military servicemen are taking part in these training exercises.

Armenia defense minister makes surprise visits to military units

Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan paid a surprise visit to a military unit which is located in the northeast of the country, the Armenian News-NEWS.am’s sources have informed.

We also have learned that the minister inspected the said military unit’s program, canteen, medical clinic and watchhouse, and spoke with its military servicemen and officer staff.

Overall, Ohanyan was satisfied with the situation in this military unit.

Հոկտեմբերի 21-ին ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարար Սեյրան Օհանյանը հերթական աշխատանքային շրջայցն է կատարել 2-րդ բանակային զորամիավորման մի շարք զորամասեր:
Պաշտպանական գերատեսչության ղեկավարին ուղեկցել են ՀՀ ՊՆ աշխատակազմի ղեկավար Գառնիկ Հայրապետյանը, ՀՀ ՊՆ կապիտալ շինարարության և զորքերի բնակավորման վարչության պետ Աշոտ Գրիգորյանը, բանակային զորամիավորման հրամանատար, գեներալ-մայոր Պողոս Պողոսյանը, Գեղարքունիքի մարզպետ Ռաֆիկ Գրիգորյանը և այլք:
Աշխատանքային այցի շրջանակում պաշտպանության նախարարը հանդիպել է զորամասերի անձնակազմերի հետ, հետաքրքրվել զինծառայողների առօրյայով, սոցիալ-կենցաղային պայմաններով:
Այցի ընթացքում պաշտպանական գերատեսչության ղեկավարը տեղում ծանոթացել է զորամասերի բարեկարգմանն ուղղված լայնածավալ կապիտալ շինարարական աշխատանքներին, մասնակցել է զորամասերից մեկի նոր բուժկետի բացման արարողությանը: Առանձնակի ուշադրության են արժանացել զինվորական ստորաբաժանումներում օժանդակ կառույցների` ճաշարանների, բուժկետների, պահակատների և նմանաբնույթ նոր շինությունների կառուցման ու նորոգման աշխատանքները:
Ընդհանուր առմամբ այցի նպատակը զինծառայողների մարտական պատրաստականության աստիճանի բարձրացմանը միտված համալիր միջոցառումների շրջանակում զինծառայողների ծառայողական պարտականությունների կատարմանը, զորամասերում իրակացված շինարարական աշխատանքներին անմիջականանորեն ծանոթանալը, ինչպես նաև ներկա մարտահրավերների պայմաններում սպաներին և զինվորներին ևս մեկ անգամ զինված ուժերում ընթացող բարեփոխումները, վերջին ժամանակահատվածում հայկական զինուժի կողմից հակառակորդին տրված արժանի հակահարվածներն ու հայոց բանակի առջև ծառացած խնդիրները ներկայացնելն էր:
Աշխատանքային այցի շրջանակում որպես զինվորական պատվի, փառքի և արիության խորհրդանիշ` բանակային զորամիավորման զրահատանկային զորամասերից մեկին հանդիսավոր կերպով հանձնվել է մարտական դրոշ:

Armenian PM attends opening of Pokr Mher educational complex branch

Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan attended the opening of a branch of Pokr Mher (Little Mher) educational complex in Nubarashen administrative district of Yerevan, the government’s press service reported.

The new branch will host a primary school, where 154 children will get education.

The PM toured the renovated facility, getting introduced to the amenities available for the students.

Then an oath-taking ceremony was held, during which the premier handed Cross of War string necklaces to a number of students. In conclusion, the pupils staged a martial arts performance.
