Armenian peacekeepers arrive in Lebanon

A unit of 32 Armenian peacekeepers arrived in Lebanon on Wednesday, the press service of the Armenian Defense Ministry reported.

As part of the Italian contingent, the Armenian peacekeepers will participate in the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).

Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan and Italian Ambassador Giovanni Ricciulli attended the send-off ceremony for the Armenian peacekeepers.

Armenian peacekeepers have been participating in international peacekeeping missions since 2004. Currently, they carry out peacekeeping missions in Afghanistan and Kosovo.
