                Armenia first deputy defense minister visits Georgia

                YEREVAN. – First Deputy Defense Minister of Armenia Davit Tonoyan signed on Friday in Georgia, and together with Georgian Deputy Defense Minister Levan Grishashvili, the 2015 plan for Armenian-Georgian military cooperation.

                Within the framework of the visit to Georgia by the Armenian delegation led by Tonoyan, the parties discussed Armenia-Georgia cooperation in the defense sector, and reflected on regional security issues, informed the Armenia MOD press service. Military education and studies were underscored as the key direction of bilateral military cooperation.

                The Armenian delegation also met with Georgian Minister of Defense Mindia Janelidze, and was invited to an official dinner by Major General Vakhtang Kapanadze, Chief of General Staff of the Georgian Armed Forces.

                The delegation from Armenia also paid a visit to the Georgian National Defence Academy in Gori city, where Davit Tonoyan delivered a presentation devoted to regional security and the role of international organizations in South Caucasus.

                      U.S. Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group James Warlick has condemned
                      Armenia for shelling Azerbaijani territories near Horadiz (Fizuli
                      District).

                      The artillery attack happened near OSCE observers in the
                      Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone. Azerbaijan did not open counter-fire,
                      as stated by Yevgeny Sharov, a field assistant of the personal
                      representative of the OSCE chairman-in-office, who took part in the
                      monitoring mission.
