The death toll of the Gyumri tragedy has risen to seven people

YEREVAN, January 19. /TASS/. A six-month baby who survived the
massacre in the Armenian town of Gyumri has died in hospital,
Armenia's ministry of health said on Monday.

On January 12, a soldier of the Russian military base in Armenia
identified as Private Valery Permyakov without permission abandoned
his post with arms and cartridges. Later on, he broke into a private
house in Gyumri and shot dead a family of six, including a two-year
child, and wounded a six-month baby. He left his uniform and footwear
with badges and his submachine gun and munitions and fled the scene.
He was arrested on the same day by Russian border guards while trying
to cross Armenia's border to Turkey.

We are slipping too much lately.

This is telling how much pressure is being put upon us.
It seems to be getting worse. They are not going to learn.
Our response has escalated. Not sure where it's going, but tensions are rising.

Հայաստանում տեղակայված 102-րդ ռուսական ռազմաբազայի անձնակազմը հաջորդ տարվա գարնանից կհամալրվի բացառապես պայմանագրային զինծառայողներով, «Ինտերֆաքս»-ին հաղորդել է ՌԴ զինված ուժերի Գլխավոր շտաբը: «2016թ. գարնանը վերջին զորակոչիկները կլքեն Հայաստանում գտնվող ռուսական 102-րդ ռազմաբազան», - հայտարարել է գործակալության զրուցակիցը:

Գլխավոր շտաբի ներկայացուցիչը ընդգծել է, որ այդ որոշումն ընդունվել է դեռ անցած տարի եւ կապված չէ Գյումրիի ողբերգական իրադարձությունների հետ: Գործակալության զրուցակիցը հիշեցրել է, որ 2014թ. դեկտեմբերից Տաջիկստանում տեղակայված 201-րդ ռուսական ռազմաբազան հավաքագրվում է բացառապես պայմանագրային զինծառայողներով: Նրա խոսքով՝ օտարերկրյա ռուսական ռազմաբազաներ ուղարկված զինծառայողների բարոյահոգեբանական որակների ստուգումն իրականացվում է ռազմական շրջանների հավաքակետերում:

Հիշեցնենք, որ Ռուսաստանի 102-րդ ռազմաբազան տեղակայվել է 1995 թվականին Գյումրիում: Իրականացնում է մարտական հերթապահություն ԱՊՀ ՀՕՊ Միասնական համակարգի շրջանակներում։ Պայմանագիրը նախապես կնքվել էր 25 տարի ժամկետով, որից հետո 2010 թվականին ՌԴ nախագահ Դմիտրի Մեդվեդեւի այցի ժամանակ այն երկարաձգվել է եւս 49 տարով՝ 2044 թվականը։

Armenia is not on the list which includes 106 countries

Baku – APA. The army ranking of world countries has been announced.

The list released by Global Firepower includes 106 countries, APA reports.

Countries’ nuclear potential did not count in the ranking. The list has been compiled based on capabilities of the use of common weapons on the ground, in air and at the sea as well as economic resources and geographical location.

The ranking, which relies on 50 factors in total, is led by the US Army. Russia ranks the second and is followed by China, India, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Turkey, South Korea, and Japan in the top 10 places.

Azerbaijan is the 50th on the list. The Azerbaijani Army has outdone Belarus (52nd), Georgia (64th), and Kazakhstan (80th).

Ukraine ranked 21st, while Armenia is not even on the list.
