Its a matter of minutes.. they can withdraw their aircrafts and boom.. Armenian Aircrafts will be targeted.

That's a great possibility,but with that action Russia will show the opposite of what she's trying to prove, which is that they are dominant super power and don't fear puppet states like Azerbaijan,specially if alliance,deals and contracts are going between Armenians and Russians in the larger picture.

There are some stuff happening around and we don't know.
1)Russia wants Azerbaijan in ECU. How will they make them join ECU?
2)Signing agreements of joint Air defense systems (assuming they will lend us some S-300's for free as part of the agreement just like how they gave to Belarus and Kazakhstan) with Armenia (after when Armenia is signing more papers with Nato) which will give Armenia more guarantees that they will protect us from Turkish invasion (from the first sight). What is Russia's next step regarding Armenia?
3)Russia not solving the NKR problem since it no longer will be able to sell this huge amount of weaponry to the both sides.

Bako Sahakyan did not say during Moscow press conference that he was
going to provide Stepanakert airport to Russia for anti-terrorist
operations. NKR President's spokesperson David Babayan said the
aforementioned to "Armenpress" clarifying the information which
initiated heated discussions in media. According to the information
Bako Sahakyan declared during Moscow press conference about the
readiness of Karabakh authorities to provide Stepanakert airport to
Russia for anti-terrorist operations.

"President did not say he was ready to provide Stepanakert airport
to Russia for fight against terrorism. He spoke of the airports'
possible participation and not its provision. President Bako Sahakyan
said that once the airport was completely exploited, the issue of
NKR's participation in anti-terrorist operations might be discussed"
spokesman said.

In reference to REGNUM publication, Babayan said that the news agency
had released such information to attract more readers. There was a
question and then an answer voiced that when the airport was exploited
the issue of NKR's participation in anti-terrorist operations might
be discussed. Babayan added that it was an issue of the future and
there was no need to hurry.

REGNUM news agency had spread information on November 12 that NKR
President Bako Sahakyan had expressed readiness to provide Stepanakert
airport to Russia for anti-terrorist operations. The latter information
was spread by a number of Armenian and Russian media.

2 Armenian Soldiers Killed In Fresh Karabakh Fighting

Azatutyun - The Armenian military accused Azerbaijan of again heightening tensions in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone and pledged to strike back hard on Friday after two Armenian soldiers were killed near Karabakh.
Karabakh’s Armenian-backed Defense Army said the conscripts, Vahe Vanoyan and Mikael Torosian, were fatally wounded late on Thursday when Azerbaijani troops violated the ceasefire at a southern section of “the line of contact” around the disputed territory. The army gave no details of the incident, saying only that it has launched an investigation.
Armenia’s Defense Ministry strongly condemned the truce violation and accused Baku of ignoring international mediators’ appeals. “Despite being mindful of the fact that this action will not remain without consequences and the guilty will be punished, Azerbaijan’s military-political leadership is once again opting for an escalation of the situation,” it said in a statement.
The statement said that Azerbaijani attacks on Armenian frontline positions are “intensifying by the day” despite efforts by the U.S., Russian and French mediators to ease tensions on the Armenian-Azerbaijani frontlines and kick-start the Karabakh peace process.
The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry did not immediately respond to these accusations. It claimed earlier in the day that the two Armenian soldiers were killed during a commando raid on an Azerbaijani army unit.
The incident occurred less than two months after the most recent upsurge in fighting along “the line of contact” and the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. On September 23, three female residents of Armenian border villages were killed by mortar shells fired from nearby Azerbaijani army positions.
Two days later, four Armenian soldiers died near Karabakh in an Azerbaijani artillery strike which triggered retaliatory action by Karabakh Armenian forces. At least four Azerbaijani soldiers were killed in the following days.
The American, Russian and French diplomats co-heading the OSCE Minsk Group blamed both warring sides for that escalation and condemned them for increasingly using mortars and other heavy weapons in their skirmishes. The mediators also urged Azerbaijan to accept their long-standing proposal to set up a mechanism for international investigations of ceasefire violations. The Armenian side has repeatedly backed the idea.
The warring sides reported no major armed incidents in October and beginning of this month. The mediators visited Yerevan, Stepanakert and Baku late last month. In an ensuing joint statement, they said that the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan have agreed to meet in December and try to revive the search for a mutually acceptable settlement.

All talks about unilaterally giving away territory is garbage, any Armenian government will be toppled if it happens just like with what happened to Levon Ter-Petrosyan. But stop blaming Russians for everything, some people want to see Russia everywhere to justify their own bias/hatred against Russians. When Serzh Sargsyan was Defense Minister, he moronically said "Aghdam is not Armenian"... sometimes we moronically shoot ourselves in the foot. We made many mistakes with Artsakh from the start and can blame only ourselves. Like not recognizing Artsakh in 1993 while we had military momentum, like not pushing for Artsakh to be a party on negotiating table in 1993 alongside Armenia etc. Letting Madrid principles (not Russia) dictate that we unilaterally give back territories is another one of our own mistakes.

The good news is, that's why Artsakh talks aren't going anywhere and will never go anywhere. This will be resolved in the next war.

As a side note, Tigranakert ruins are officially in Aghdam. You think we will hand that over?

Armenia, Karabakh Deny Russian Pressure


Senior officials in Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh dismissed on Thursday a Russian newspaper report which has fueled renewed speculation that Russia is pressuring the Armenian side to make unilateral territorial concessions to Azerbaijan.

Writing on Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s latest visit to Yerevan, the Moscow daily “Kommersant” said earlier this week that one possible Armenian-Azerbaijani peace deal currently under discussion envisages the liberation of virtually all districts around Karabakh that were occupied by Karabakh Armenian forces during the 1991-1994 war. In return, it claimed, Baku would only pledge not to try to reconquer Karabakh itself.

The paper, which cited anonymous Russian sources, made no mention of other elements of the Basic Principles of a Karabakh settlement put forward by the U.S., Russian and French co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group. Those include a future referendum in Karabakh on the disputed territory’s internationally recognized status.

Some Armenian commentators and media outlets have seized upon the “Kommersant” report to renew their allegations that Moscow is seeking unilateral Armenian concessions to Baku as part of its efforts to lure Azerbaijan into the Russian-led Eurasian Economic Union (EEU). They claim that this was the main purpose of Lavrov’s talks in Yerevan with President Serzh Sarkisian and Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian.

One of Nalbandian’s deputies, Karen Nazarian, brushed aside the speculation. “It’s possible that there was a discussion [with Lavrov] on the overall process of resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, but I don’t think that such an issue was on the agenda,” Nazarian told reporters.

“Putting aside certain elements [of the Basic Principles] and discussing them separately is unacceptable not only to us but also the co-chairs,” he said.

A senior Karabakh official, Davit Babayan, also denied the alleged Russian pressure. He argued that while in Yerevan Lavrov publicly criticized lawmakers from the Council of Europe for approving a pro-Azerbaijani draft resolution on the Karabakh conflict.

Babayan also said that a unilateral Armenian withdrawal from the territories around Karabakh would only increase the risk of another Armenian-Azerbaijani war. “If something in this [status quo] changes then there will be unpredictable developments that would make the South Caucasus a more severe warzone than Syria and Iraq put together,” he told RFE/RL’s Armenian service (Azatutyun.am). “And this would not be beneficial for Russia.”

The authorities in Yerevan and Stepanakert have long said that territorial concessions to Baku must be tied to an agreement on Karabakh’s status.

Aghvan Vartanian, a leader of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation, an opposition party known for its hard line on Karabakh, insisted on Thursday that the Armenian government will be swept from power if it agrees to drop this linkage. “I therefore rule that out,” he said. “No government will do that. A government making such unilateral concessions would no longer be a government.”

In my opinion it's a good idea to let the Russians use the airport,1.with Russians using Karabakh for their strategic use,there won't be rumors and even any tought of Russia trying to negotiate lands with the azeris 2.we can fly our own planes and jets alongside,under the "Russian anti terrorism"context and thus be guaranteed a safe and operational airport.3. that will also be a big middle finger to aliyev and his big mouth
