Originally posted by armnuke View PostThere's no way the Russians are going to accept a Turkish deployment/base in Georgia. Specially in light of the latest developments between Russia and Turkey.
Despite Turkish- Georgia relations, the Georgians themselves are not pro-Turkish and any move to invite a foreign base into Georgian will be met with fierce opposition by the Georgian people.
The events of September 2008 still resonate strongly and changed the entire security structure in the Caucasus region.General Antranik (1865-1927): “I am not a nationalist. I recognize only one nation, the nation of the oppressed.”
