Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Armenia to purchase SU-30 fighter jets from Russia

Seyran Ohanuyan, Minister of Defense, confirmed the reports that a recent Armenian-Russian inter-governmental session focused on plans for purchasing SU-30 fighter jets from Russia.
This isn't true right? I haven't read anything else about it. Armenian news reporting is so substandard its painful to follow

Serbia has to show consistency in being anti-separatism so we are constantly thrown under the bus by them. Their governments are hardly representative of their people, just look how much Euroass kissing they do despite its population's clear preference to Russia.

New things that we will see for sure,

          1-2K12 Kub

          2-Pachora 2M

          3-9K35 Strela-10

          4-Milan ATGM

          5- Igla-S

          --

New things we will probably see,

          1-AR1A
The AR1A multiple launch rocket system was developed from the A-100. It is aimed mainly at the export customers. The new artillery rocket system was first demonstrated in 2009.

Army Guide - information about the main battle tanks, armoured vehicles and armament of the land forces and also the information concerning other army subjects - PT-72U, Main battle tank, Armoured Vehicles

          Things we might see,

          1-BM-30 Smerch

          2- Pantsir S1

          3- Iskander M

          ----

We already know that we are trying to acquire mid/long range balistic missiles from Russia. We even took 200 m. credit for that purpose. Are we really going to buy Iskender? Is it realistic? We will find out the answer after 7 months.

          What are your predictions?
Not sure about the PT-72u. There's been a long running rumor that Poland canceled the contract but I always found it hard to believe. We will probably get our answer in September. I don't think we have Pantsir as there's no reports of it AFAIK.

          Here's what RFE/RL said:
Ohanian on Tuesday did not deny media claims that the Russian-Armenian commission also discussed the possibility of supplying Armenia with advanced Russian Su-30 fighter jets. But he declined to elaborate. http://www.azatutyun.am/content/article/27513244.html

Just a thought ... If we get su 30 SM that's going to make erdojerk's blood boil. As good of a bargain that those jets are cost wise compared to western stuff , I can't see use really affording the minimum number necessary to bring their effectiveness into play. So if we get the minimum required for operational meaning , that means *** Russia *** has given us a stunning bargain.
Niether us having them or Russia greatly helping us acquire these will be lost on erdojerk.
Would Putin do that to roil & spoil that fool cissy hominoid ?
Na Putin wouldn't do that would he ?

                  Timing is all important.
I say close but not "right now. Baboon gotta start it, then the red suit with the lightening bolt across the chest is put on. Preferably east monkey makes move that west hominoid instigates.
I think window of opportunity could come soon if monkee money/oil thing continues at the stunning pace it's on.
Amazing how fast things are moving.
Putins anger at our mortal enemy is sufficient if timing is there.
Keeping my fingers crossed on that.
If that does happen, I still say ... Blaze a path to the Russian border pronto.
Might get a favorable nod from a certain very angry and determined Slave.

                    PT72U

probably contract is canceled since officially we chose UralVagonZavod to modernize our stuff. But maybe will be surprise in NKR parade.

                    SU30

We will probably get them for same price as Kazakhstan since both are CSTO states (50mln for each jet) BTW Russia getting one Su30 from factory for only 10mln.

                    KuB

we know that 2 battalion of KuB M3 was given from 102 base to Armenian side, and we will see them in Stepanakert parade.

Putin can't really "punch" chump erdojerk via deal with Kazakh, but getting those planes in our hand is going to cause the hominoid to fume. That's what Putin wants and more, much more.
Sometimes you gotta pay to get in the right position . Maybe Vlad is ready to pay. He's mad enough and very determined. Just maybe a lot less than 50 mil.
