Nagorno-Karabagh: Military Balance Between Armenia & Azerbaijan
The kubs were delivered to karabagh,as i mentioned when i first joined this thread, there is a video proof posted in the zinuj show on armenia 1 showing that armenia has the buk m-1 so it will be probably present;the pechora will most probably be present in the parade, the army already showed them to the media, the strela and the igla-s will definitely be present, as for the ar-1a,i have no idea, the pt-72u will hopefully be in the parade, the biggest surprises will be the presence of the bm-30 and the iskander.the pantsir s-1 will not be in the show as much as i want it to be but sadly it won't be present
There were many reports in Armenian media about using the credit for buying Pantsir.
Just for the record RuAF jets fly in and out of karabakh on a weekly basis from erebuni base.
Can you substantiate this, source etc.
What do they do .... or just softening the baboons ars.e pain that it is an operational airport.
Politics is not about the pursuit of morality nor what's right or wrong
Its about self interest at personal and national level often at odds with the above.
Great politicians pursue the National interest and small politicians personal interests
It doesn't justify taking a loan for the sake of Pantsirs, BTRs and Gaz Tigr. I beleive we are not in urgent need of medium range SAMs. But it would justify taking a loan for Iskanders.
Besides, that's the only outlet saying so.
The only way we get Nakhichevan is when Igdir falls to the Kurdish resistance and that way the only road from Turkey will be cut.
Nakhichevan should be regained through economic hardships. With conflicts in Eastern turkey they are going to be more isolated. Notice with the attached map the mountainous areas are relying on water runoff from Armenia. Unfortunately, most of the towns on the Armenian side are built in the valley, if not a big dam on the Armenian side would cut off major water supplies forcing them to filtrated the Arax and pump it upwards. In short, our option is to push them down to the valley with hardship, till they move to Iran and out. There is reason why the Baboons had to bring the water issue in PACE. We are on the higher grounds, we have the waters, that will at least create a larger natural buffer zone around our country if water is not available conveniently to the nomads.
War isn't a video game. War would devastate Armenia and 25 years of progress. As it is, Armenia faces severe demographic, economic, and social issues. Add to that a few billion dollars dollars in damages, a few hundred/thousand dead, a few hundred thousand in emigration, and forever scaring away any foreign investment, and you can very well have the end of our nation.
Only way realistically that Armenia can take Nakhichevan is if war starts, and those idiots attempt to fire at Yerevan from Nakhichevan which is only 80km away. Short of that, it will be very hard to do anything. Remember that there's 200,000 people living there. That land is not connected to Azerbaijan, what would happen once Armenia starts taking it, and those people are stuck there?
It would be like begging the Turks to get involved.
And once again, let's just say it goes perfectly and we take it. What then? you still have all of the problems i mentioned.
War should be avoided as much as possible. The only scenario in which I can justify war is if the central government in Azerbaijan falls, and theres mass chaos, and we can advance east, and even into Nakhichevan with absolute minimum losses, to get the perfect ground, and create a better buffer, while being sure Turkey will not get involved. Short of that, war should not be an option.
That is sound judgement. We'd all like Nakhichevan back but we cannot instigate this.
General Antranik (1865-1927): “I am not a nationalist. I recognize only one nation, the nation of the oppressed.”
Nakhichevan should be regained through economic hardships. With conflicts in Eastern turkey they are going to be more isolated. Water will one day (actually, this process is already coming to realization) prove priceless- this will be Armenia's strength. We'll see more bellyaching on this by the Azeris in the future. Furthermore, a decades old sticking point between Turkey and its Arab neighbors was Turkeys control of water into the rest of the Levant/M.E.

YEREVAN. – The official opening of the National Defense Research University (NDRU) of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia was held in capital city Yerevan on Thursday, January 28, 2016, on the 24th anniversary of the Armenian Armed Forces.
The event brought together President Serzh Sargsyan, Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Defense Ministers Seyran Ohanyan and Levon Mnatsakanyan, representatives of the command staff of Armenia’s armed forces, foreign mission chiefs in the country, and numerous guests.
NDRU was established on the basis of the Institute for National Strategic Studies.
The rector, Major General Hayk Kotanjian, presented Sargsyan the capacity of this new education and research facility, and accompanied him to the classrooms of the new building.
Kotanjian told reporters that young promising specialists, who were trained abroad, are engaged in the activities of this institution of higher education.
probably contract is canceled since officially we chose UralVagonZavod to modernize our stuff. But maybe will be surprise in NKR parade.
SU30
We will probably get them for same price as Kazakhstan since both are CSTO states (50mln for each jet) BTW Russia getting one Su30 from factory for only 10mln.
KuB
we know that 2 battalion of KuB M3 was given from 102 base to Armenian side, and we will see them in Stepanakert parade.
Well as for the pt-72u,i think if armenia will modernize its tanks in russia,so will karabagh(really hoped to see the pt-72u in armenia though :/).regarding the su-30,we shall not forget that kazakhstan is a very rich and wealthy country,i don't think russia will sell the su-30's to armenia at the same price (btw they do not cost 50 million),the kubs will definitely be seen in stepanakert's parade
