Yes. Unfortunately, like many of the political experts in the press conferense said, there is a level of davajanutyun unseen even during the 90s war. Firstly, like robert kocharyan did, armenia again didnt involve nkr as a side to the conflict. Then we have the passive policy against azeris the past 5 years. The helicopter downing. 150 diversion attempts and a 4 days war later, the armenian gov still complain the ceasefire is not being upholded. Then we have the utter failure of not giving a preemptive strike to their latest adventure. Then there is the russia issue. The least serj could have done is not go to moscow for the altered meeting. This is the lowest we can sink as a nation. The conclusion to this situation, russia turning a blind eye and azeris not being punished for this , the blame must be on serj and his goons.

Secondly, it doesn't help save lives, nor does it provide us with improved offensive/defensive capabilities. It can also be a logistical nightmare. He spoke to someone from the ministry of defense in Armenia, I won't say with whom publicly on this forum. But he is a high ranking official. After their conversation, he decided to start a GoFundMe to buy Celox. Google this product if you are not familiar with it. It stops severe bleeding within seconds and cuts battlefield deaths due to bleeding by 80 percent (if not more). I think the US special forces use this stuff too. We contacted several Armenian accounts on Instagram, Facebook, and other social media. All promised they would help promote this campaign but didn't. We later discovered one was accepting donations for first aid kits (as if band aids and some gauze are going to help in a war zone), the other was posting about a auto leasing company that was promising to donate $100 for every new car leased from them. The car leasing thing really pissed us off. People are trying to catch fish from murky waters. Basically, people are making it about themselves and just really wasting money. We need someone to organize something that either helps save lives or gives our military some sort of offensive/defensive improvement.

Message from FB later but one of the groups I have been following is claiming the following and it's probably the case (In Russian and English):

          - why is on the front line, as it turns out, didn't have enough ammo.
          - why wasn't the shots for the hand grenade launchers, xxxotov and d.
          - why does company and batalʹnykh minometom so fast out of the mines?
          - why wasn't the night vision devices?
          - why the Armenian warrior blind met armed to the teeth, the fighter pmcs, Turkish special forces, Isis et al.? Why? Why?

          My translation:
NKR forces are not pleased with the level of support being given by the military command structure in terms of supplies and procurement. While this comes as no shock and is usually the soldiers mantra with every military worldwide, they claim that the army is being stingy or needs to procure and supply more of the following to frontline positions:

          1. Ammo- guys ran out of ammo very early
          2. Lack of Grenades, RPG rounds, and RPG units in general
          3. Lack of Night vision
          4. Lack of landmines

The assumption is that with adequate amounts of the following, many Armenians live could have been saved, Azeris would have suffered more losses, and all of these items can be purchased cheaply.

NKR forces went above in beyond in terms of fighting but among the High Command they've been resting on their laurels for to long and either being miserly with these items of siphoning off the budget

          Bottomline:

          - Frontline troops need more/better equipment in ammo
          - Supplying this is not too pricey is leads to more fighting efficiency, fewer losses and more damage to the enemy
          - The Army needs to do a better job of supplying the men
          - All corruption needs to be rooted out- corruption leads to outright murder of our own.

Last Thursday US Secretary of State John Kerry and Vice President Joe Biden met separately with Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian President Serzh Sarkisian while the South Caucasus adversaries attended a 50-nation nuclear summit in Washington boycotted by Russian President Vladimir Putin. But no sooner did Kerry pronounce “an ultimate resolution” to the ongoing Azeri-Armenian dispute over the autonomous Nagorno-Karabakh (NG) enclave, while Aliyev was flying home the next day his Azerbaijani military was launching a major overnight offensive into the contested region marking the bloodiest fighting since Russia’s brokered truce that ended a three-year war back in 1994. … Continue reading →

Yup, when I see a corpulent, fat bodied General, Colonel, etc that gets me pissed. You never really see that in other professional armies. To me the message it conveys is they're corrupt, lack self-control, lack self-esteem, lack discipline, are thieves, etc.

I agree! We need to show that we too can play that game.
