I've been wanting to ask this question for a while. Forgive me but weren't we supposed to be getting the AR1A MRLS from China ? There was a massive brag about it , no more information and no stopping of the order. I think after this last order from Russia , Armenia needs to change its tactic Militarily.

We already have it according to many sources. Waiting for the September parade for picture confirmation.

We need to change format in case of another war. We cannot get hit too much. A successful Army does not play tit for tat. In 4 days we lost 100 men. Absolute disgrace . How do our men even see the enemy without night vision goggles ? Are these idiots just sending them to the front to die ?

Ապրիլի 1-ի լույս 2-ի գիշերն Արցախի հյուսիսում՝ Մարտակերտի և ադրբեջանցիների վերահսկողության տակ գտնվող Շահումյանի շրջանների միջև տեղակայված «Եղնիկներ» զորամասի վրա հակառակորդը 50 հոգուց բաղկացած դիվերսիոն խմբով հետախուզական ներթափանցման փորձ է կատարել: Սակայն հակառակորդի հատուկ նշանակության ջոկատայինների կողմից ձեռնարկված գործողությունը ժամանակին հայտնաբերվել է հայ դիրքապահների կողմից, եւ հակառակորդը, կրելով կենդանի եւ զինտեխնիկայի մեծ կորուստ, այդ թվում՝ մեկ ռազմական ուղղաթիռ, հետ է շպրտվել:

«Առավոտյան ժամը 6:45 րոպեին նկատել ենք հակառակորդի ուղղաթիռը, որը ռմբակոծում էր մեր մարտական դիրքերը: Մի քանի րոպե անց՝ առաջին փորձից խոցել եմ այն»,- «Ապառաժի» հետ զրույցում ասում է ՊԲ պայմանագրային զինծառայող Գեւորգ Մանուկյանը, ով առաջին անգամն էր «Իգլա» շարժական զենիթահրթիռային համալիրից կրակում: Այնուհետեւ կես կատակ, կես լուրջ ավելացնում է,- Մեր ուղղությունում ապրիլյան պատերազմը տեւեց մեկ օր: Այդ դեպքից հետո մեր դիրքերի ուղղությամբ հակառակորդի հարձակումներն ու կրակոցները դադարեցին»:

Ծնունդով Շիրակի մարզի Հոռոմ գյուղից է Գեւորգը: 21 ամիս է՝ ծառայում է ԼՂՀ Պաշտպանության բանակում:

Խոսելով դիրքապահների մասին՝ նշում է, որ տղաների մարտական ոգին բարձր է, ամեն ինչ լավ է, եւ բոլորն էլ պատրաստ են առաջ գնալու…

«Սահմանը պահող յուրաքանչյուր զինվոր առաջին հերթին պաշտպանում է իր ընտանիքը: Իհարկե, յուրաքանչյուրն ունենում է վախի զգացում, սակայն այդ վախը գործոն չի հանդիսանում, որպեսզի որեւէ մեկը կոտրվի: Այդ վախն էլ հարաբերական է՝ վախենում ես ոչ թե սեփական անձիդ համար, այլ քո ընտանիքի, քո ընկերների համար: Այն պատվի եւ պատասխանատվության զգացումը, որ մեր նախնիները մեր հողը արյան գնով են պահել, նույնպես մեզ տանում է դեպի կռվի դաշտ եւ ստիպում ավելի զգոն եւ պարտավորված լինել»,- շեշտում է Գեւորգը:

Գրավված դիրքերի մասին՝ Գեւորգն ասում է, որ դա զինվորների ընկճման պատճառ չի կարող հանդիսանալ, հակառակը՝ պատճառ են՝ ավելի կազմակերպվելու: Նրա կարծիքով՝ ավագ սերնդի ներկայությունը երիտասարդ սերնդին ավելի ուժեղ եւ հանգիստ է դարձնում:

Մինչեւ քառօրյա պատերազմի վերսկսելը հարազատների հետ երեք ամիս չէր խոսել: Ծնողներին զանգելու հնարավորություն ընձեռնվեց միայն ամսի 12-ին՝ հակառակորդի երկու ուղղաթիռ և հինգ տանկ խոցած զինծառայողների պարգեւատրության օրը: Զինծառայողներ Գևորգ Մանուկյանին, Մարատ Պետրոսյանին եւ Նարեկ Մալխասյանին հերոսության համար պարգեւատրեցին մեքենաներով: Մի քանի ժամ տեւած միջոցառումից հետո հերոսներն շտապեցին առաջնագիծ՝ շարունակելու ծառայությունը:

«Ծառայությունս ավարտելուն պես իմ մեքենայով կգնամ տուն, արդեն մտքում պատկերացնում եմ մայրիկիս ուրախությունն ու հայրիկիս հպարտությունը»,- ասում է Գեւորգը:

Զինծառայող բոլոր որդիների ծնողներին համբերություն եւ հավատ է մաղթում. «Համբերություն, որպեսզի դիմանան՝ մինչեւ իրենց որդիների տունդարձը, եւ հավատ, որ մենք ամենակարողն ենք եւ ամուր կպահենք մեր հայրենիքի սահմանները»,- շեշտում է Գ. Մանուկյանը:

Գեւորգը, խոսելով ապագայի մասին, նշում է. «Մարդ պետք է հստակ նպատակներ ունենա, այլ ոչ թե երազանքներ: Ես իմ նպատակներն ունեմ. պիտի ավարտեմ ուսումս, աշխատանքի անցնեմ, ընտանիք կառուցեմ եւ շատ երեխաներ ունենամ, ովքեր պիտի ապրեն հզոր Ազատ, Անկախ, Միացյալ Հայաստանում…»:

Remember some died in the initial bombardment and assault. Then we counter attacked. The amount of area that was being fought over was very large. You can't counter attack on a scale this large and take losses in the low double digits. Then add to the amount of artillery that the turks used. Any future attack will see casualties like this or greater. No weapon can change this. New weapons should increas the number of casualties for the turks but we will still take losses similar to this.

I agree front line soldiers could be better equppiped. There are advanced weapons and equipment on the front line but it doesn't seem to prevelant. Another thing I've noticed is our front line soldiers carry only 3 extra magazines. They should make 6 mag vest kits. 210 rounds is always better than 120 rounds.

Agreed but our loss of life is far greater then there's. How we perceive things should not just be tolerated. We need to think outside the box of reality and think of ways to hurt enemy forces apart from the already known weapons they know we carry. For example ,Tunnels. Very effective in Mountainous regions. Also traps. Our forces don't need to go head on but sit back. Tactical Warfare needs to change. I believe our Army is strong but our design on the ground is old.

Yes! I have always dreamed at intricate tunnels, like the Japanese dug, in Artsakh. There have to be some tunnels at least. It just might be that they are further inland.
Imagine a donation campaign towards a machine that dig these tunnels. I'm sure it's not that simple but tunnel systems have shown their worth in WWII and Vietnam. Good point.

WTF? No one except Azerbaijan says this. This is simply not true. Check out the last dozen pages on this thread where the casualty count discussion has been beaten to death.
