Agreed. We are pawn on their chess board. But our friendship over 100s of year can not be overlooked. Nor the consequences of us without Russia as an ally.

I dunno. I think we depend on them too much to be considered an ally. I think pawn is better fitting in this situation. I looked up the definition of ally and tried to find an example were an ally screws over his ally. can you find an example of USA giving weapons to 2 strategical allies who are enemies with each other?

they are using us as a military Base to keep out turkey from their southern flank which just happens to be what we want. Other that that we don't have much in common like serj said.

Karabakh Fighting Highlights Azerbaijan's New Israeli Weapons

The recent surge of violence in Nagorno Karabakh has brought attention to Azerbaijan's increased reliance on arms from Israel, including two types of drones not previously known to be in Baku's arsenal.

In one case, Azerbaijan was reported to have used a "Harop" loitering munition, known somewhat fancifully as a "kamikaze drone" because it is itself the bomb. According to Armenian media, on April 4 the Harop hit a bus carrying soldiers to the front and killed five or six of them. It was believed to be the first ever combat use of the system anywhere, reported Jane's Defence Weekly. Azerbaijan sources claim to have used the Harop in other attacks, as well.

In another episode, the armed forces of Nagorno Karabakh released photos of a ThunderB surveillance drone that they claimed to have shot down on April 2.

And in a third episode, Azerbaijani sources claim that their side destroyed "six enemy tanks" using an Israeli-made Spike missiles.

None of these weapons were previously reported to be operated by Azerbaijan. (While it was known that Azerbaijan bought the marine version of the Spike missiles, it's not clear whether it somehow used those for this attack or had secretly also purchased the land forces version, as well.)

Azerbaijan's arms purchases from Israel have gotten a lot of attention because of their relative novelty, including a whopping $1.6 billion deal signed in 2012.

Azerbaijan trumpets its warm relations with Israel, framing them as an example of Azerbaijan's tolerance to other religions. But Baku has apparently not been satisfied with the Israeli government's response to this round of fighting: senior presidential adviser Ali Hasanov complained to the Jerusalem Post that Israel hasn't given it enough verbal support. "We view Israel as a strategic partner, and expect it to comment,” he said. “Azerbaijan asks its strategic partner – the State of Israel – to express its attitude toward the latest developments related to the military provocation committed by Armenia in the border of the occupied territories of Azerbaijan.” The Post also notes that "Israel, however, is in no hurry to get involved in a fight pitting Azerbaijan against Armenia." Strictly business, apparently.

In any case, Azerbaijan still relies relatively little on Israeli weaponry: The Stockholm International Peace Research Institute reported last year that Azerbaijan had acquired 85 percent of its weaponry over the past five years from Russia.

so it shows we lost more lands as days perceded?i doubt about talish,gazdiev posted video yesterday showing him taking a stroll in the streets of tallish village with armenian soldiers nearby.

You'll notice his corrections at the bottom- and the interactive map he's used is incorrect- otherwise not a bad synopsis.

Azad and Hakob are assessing our situation well. It is good to see some of our people using their heads and making good observations and conclusions. Vrej has always been a traitor. Since day one he has made false statements and assumptions on a consistent bases with complete disregard for facts and consequences. The fact that he (he is actually more then one person) is constantly posting antirussian material designed to drive a wedge between Armenia and Russia is a direct reflection of USA policy to weaken Russia on all fronts. We have seen this policy in play in Ukraine, and in Syria. I do not think any Armenian wants to end up like those countries. Use your brains people, do not let spies like Vrej influence you by playing on your emotions. A nations fate demands cool heads and accurate observations with careful analysis and a prudent plan of action. Serj is, has been, and is still doing a great job when it comes to international relations. Given the cards he is dealt, he has been nothing short of brilliant on this front. Many of the decisions we consider were his choices were not a choice at all but were more along the lines of ultimatums and the least worst case..He did not have good choices to choose from. The line of thinking Vrej is proposing is exactly the same line that lead to our genocide. Disregard for Armenia's security is a mortal mistake and should not even be on the table, but the likes of vrej not only put it on the table but they advise the most dangerous route possible. Do not gamble with the security of Armenia, we made that mistake before and it almost cost us everything. If we make the same mistake again, we will not recover this time.

You right when you say we need Russia, but let's not pretend they are our friends. We learned that the hard way in 1918. And when lenin made yerevan a border city in 1921. And now when they are playing with our compatriates lives. At least we can be honest about that. That's what I liked about what Serj said that we don't have real friends. Not even Greece condemed Azeri aggression.

The only country that came out with somewhat a strong statement was Cyprus, for obvious reasons.
