Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

I saw numerous news outlets report that we had liberated previously unheld territories. Does anyone know if that is true? And if so in which direction?

We lost yet another soldier today. I'm not seeing the point of "ceasing hostilities" of the 4 day war, especially as we were on the offensive.
BUY "WHO IS MONTE." Proceeds from this film will benefit the families of the fallen soldiers of the Karabagh war. Available at: www.armenianmusic.com

I believe that was solely based on this Facebook post by Artsroon Hovhanisyan. Everyone else just used that as their source

Guys we need to stop getting overdramatic and pessimistic. It's utterly idiotic and self defeating. Understand this: these guys attacked with everything they had with the expectation to at least take a few kilometers. With the aim of taking Füzuli at the very minimum. What they got was absolutely nothing. We were absolutely caught off guard, they threw everything they had at us, and they managed nothing.

What? we possibly lost a hill here or there, we went back a hundred meters in the desert of Jabrayil? Heto inch. The line of contact constantly changes. If we lost something that matters, it'll be taken back before anyone knows it. Except unlike them, we won't make fifty videos about it like we just entered Berlin.

You are actually doing their work for them by somehow turning their defeat into victory. The only way they will attempt this again if the public somehow believes they won, and that's what you're doing with these posts.

You have no way of knowing we were on the offensive. Just like the facebook post demonstrated, it's easy to get excited and to have thought Getashen was two hours away. But the reality is different. That post was made more than two days before the ceasefire.

What we do know is that we were losing twenty soldiers a day while this was going on. That's not what's happening now.
What we do know is that they were trying to instigate a war, and we didn't fall in their trap. We made them pay dearly with human and material loss, and we defended our positions.
At the peak of their military power, with the full element of surprise. They got shut down, and we get to continue to watch that country self destruct. The only way Aliyev survives a political coup is by rallying nationalist sentiments with a karabakh war. Without it he's hopeless. Let's not give him exactly what he wants.

Our MoD has shown nothing but competence in the past twenty five years. I don't see what reason you have to assume that should have changed.

People who are nagging like friggin taxi drivers, please cut the crap out. We nag too much. We nag about every little thing related our country while Turks focus on making babies. That's why they're 90 million and we're 3.

Mher i respect your perspective but you are wrong.

We can't dany a clear fact just for not making Azeris happy. That's not who we really are. Seeing us that we are slowley becoming like them is terrifying.

              The fact remains here,

They attacked and they gained ground. You can say they lost hundreds of soldiers, tens of tanks etc. and i believe in you but at the end we are the one who lost territory and they are the one gained territory. That's all that matters for me.

Sorry but i can't close my eyes and cheer the so called victory. We are better then that.

Dude the "captured" areas doesn't even include the exact places where the clashes occurred. i.e. Talish and Madaghis. What an idiot!

exactly!they would do anything to show themselves victorious, they could even make absurd statements saying that we (Armenians)fight with bananas in our hand instead of AK's and their moron public would buy and spread it like this particular baboon

Can we ban this guy? He's either a turk or a moron, either way I'm tired of reading his xxxx. Who the xxxx denied losing territory? Show me where the MOD BSed you as you put it? They have been up front about everything including our losses from the beginning. The only thing they exaggerated was one tweet mentioning 2000 dead azeris and I think that was probably a typo. And if losing land is all that matters to you what are you doing sitting behind a computer playing general? Get out there and protect our lands!
