But if the past 5 years have shown NKR is quite comfortable with having these attrition skirmishes since they dont change the status quo and prolong negotiations. And in the mean time more ppl will be sacrificed on both sides because of this strategy.
That's more or less what I mean- hit them back so hard they never recover and show no mercy.

I am not sure what is the purpose of these images. They are from the first war most are azeri homes.

From the newsreels from Talish during the recent fighting it always was implied it to be a living Village.

I also scan goggle earth fairly regularly. Villages inside the demarcation line were almost always roofs on.

On the Azeri side many areas uninhabited villages, roofs blown off.

Politics is not about the pursuit of morality nor what's right or wrong
Its about self interest at personal and national level often at odds with the above.
Great politicians pursue the National interest and small politicians personal interests

Agree and hope so very soon. They will keep these games to drain us psychologically. As you said, hit them hard, full force and take a large chunk of land to trigger there internal riots.

The enemy lost the surpise element advantage. It was a well needed wake up call for us. Now we know the war is about to happen. We saw our mistakes and we know our weak points. It's an huge advantage for us and an huge disadvantage for the enemy.

They made a strategic mistake by not starting full scale war on April 1. They will pay the price greatly if the war breaks out.

I agree with your assessment 100%. Lessons have been learned, adjustments made, mistakes will be rectified, defenses fortified, assets shifted, the enemy is under constant surveillance, and counter-attack strategy is set. When they attack again (or should a attack be made by NKR forces), the Azeris will lose more territory- they will suffer another humanitarian disaster that will choke up their supply routes and communications, destroy their infrastructure, crush their morale, create panic, and cause internal unrest. The Azeris are playing for pride, the Armenians for their survival. NO MERCY- it is the only language Turks/Azeris/Orcs understand.

Some of those officers from what I understand, have served very long in those positions. More than likely it was proven they did not perform to expectations in terms of recent events and will be replaced with more effective individuals due to the immediate situation. Perhaps corruption is being rooted out...this could be good.

In retaliation for Talish, Mardakert and Mataghis, Armenian artillery is hitting Terter profoundly:
