Azerbaijani press reports say that Baku has signed an agreement with Turkey’s Roketsan to jointly produce 107mm and 122mm rockets. According to the agreement, rockets will be produced in Azerbaijan by transferring some parts from Turkey.

Roketsan was established in 1988 by a decision of the Turkish Defense Industry Executive Committee to pioneer national missile and rocket research and production programs. The Turkish Armed Forces Foundation is the largest shareholder in Roketsan.

NKR to transfer bodies of two Azerbaijani subversives

PanARMENIAN.Net - Nagorno Karabakh will transfer the bodies of two Azeri subversives – Mubariz Ubrahimov and Farid Ahmedov – to Azerbaijan, in compliance with the agreement reached by the Presidents of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan in Astrakhan.

Azerbaijan, for its part, obliged to return the body of Gavrosh Arustamyan, a 86-year-old resident of Madaghis village, a source in Stepanakert told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

The exchange will take place in the afternoon at the border of Akna (former Aghdam).

Azerbaijan’s satellite to be launched by the end of 2012

PanARMENIAN.Net - France’s Arianespace has signed a launch Service & Solutions contract with IR&AC for Azerbaijan’s satellite to be launched by the end of 2012. Weighing approximately 3,000 kg. at launch, the satellite will be boosted into geostationary transfer orbit by an Ariane 5 rocket from the Guiana Space Center, Europe’s Spaceport in French Guiana.

The satellite, fitted with 36 active Ku- and C-band transponders, will be built by Orbital Sciences Corporation using a STAR-2 platform. It will deliver a wide range of communications services for all of Azerbaijan, as well as Central Asia, Europe, Middle East and Africa, satnews.com reported.

Azerbaijani soldier wounded as Armenians violated ceasefire

Baku. Hafiz Heydarov – APA. One more soldier of Azerbaijani Army was wounded as Armenian Armed Forces violated ceasefire, deputy press secretary of Azerbaijani Defense Ministry Teymur Abdullayev told APA.

He said the incident happened in Goranboy region. Azerbaijani soldier Rasul Hajizadeh, 19, was wounded in leg. He has been hospitalized, the state of his health is satisfactory.

Hajizadeh was drafted from Aghsu region in October, 2009.

A soldier of Azerbaijani Army was killed as Armenian Armed Forces violated ceasefire. Mustafayev Telman Elman, 19, drafted from Salyan region, was killed while serving in a military unit in Gazakh region.

Baku. Hafiz Heydarov – APA. A soldier of the Azerbaijani Army was wounded as a result of ceasefire violation by Armenians.

The incident took place in the western direction of the frontline, APA reports. Soldier of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces Ishiyev Tural Murad was wounded in his leg and was hospitalized.

The Defense Ministry was not available to give details.

Ishiyev was called up by the military commissariat of Jalilabad region.

Or there is more to fighting a war than you know? No that could not be it, it must be that the Armenians are tricked. Yes our leaders most be retards for doing this. It doesn't show to the world that we are ready to work towards peace and will try to create an atmosphere of confidence.

Keeping back the body what good does it to us, it will be used as a propaganda tool against us on the international level. If it was up to me I would make a catapult and shoot the body back to the enemies side as soon as the skirmish was over.

Armenian armed forces begin military exercises in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan’s Aghdam region

Aghdam. Teymur Zahidoglu - APA. Armenian armed forces began military exercises in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan’s Aghdam region, APA’s Karabakh bureau reports.

Gathering of military equipment owned by the enemy was observed today, in the morning hours, in the direction of occupied Garagashli village of Aghdam region. Fire sounds from artillery and armored combat vehicles began to be heard since around 11.30. It is reported that Armenian armed forces is holding large-scale military exercises.

Note that, every 3 months Armenians hold military exercises along the line of contact in Azerbaijani lands.
