The guy is straight up wearing a hat from the soviet union, just with an Armenian crest added on top. Hats exactly like that one but without the Armenian crest appear almost immediately when you google "soviet hats", as you can see here: https://www.google.com/search?q=sovi...ih=748#imgrc=_. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if even the Armenian crest was on their during soviet times, since if you scroll down a bit you start seeing the same hats but with crests in the same place as the Armenian crest on the hat in the above picture. Our generals are wearing the same clothes they wore during the soviet union.

EDIT: Actually, if you take a good look at the newer pictures that you posted, they also all have the star on them. Look on the part of the cap with the red stripe. There is a golden outline, with red inside the golden outline and a golden star inside the red.

That is not a Red Star. Its just a star. Its a copy of what the Russian Army adopted after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Just the Tsarist sun (or whatever it is) with a star over it. Achemish, the Soviet Army was not regionalised like that. There was no Armenian crest on their uniform. The Soviet Army was a unitary structure, with one formal uniform and dress code.

The same can be found on the Ushankas. Its quite stupid and not very unique. I do believe we should develop our own military dress and tradition. We didn't have much of an opportunity during the First Republic. The uniforms were basically just Russian Army uniforms:
