I agree totally with you . One this is sure , mobile artillery can outgun every stationary howitzer , not to mention its mobility and less crew for operation , plus with nice GPS system with spy drones for targeting makes it most deadly weapon in the battlefield .

We might as well look for 2S35 Koalitsiya-SV as they are the updated version of the Msta. What's so modern well they fire 70km with precision guided rounds and 40kms using the standard Msta rounds. The Msta fires at a maximum of 30kms. Lastly they fire up to 16 rounds per minute while the Msta only 7. If I was looking at howitzers I would be looking into this. They are the most modern howitzer in the Russian Army but not something Russia seems to keep under its bedsheets. I will say if we buy 15 of these howitzers we will outgun all day any number of Mstas that Azerbaijan possess that being due to range, firing and mobility. Mind you Azerbaijan already have Msta Howitzers but I think it was left over after the fall of the Soviet Union. Was it used in Karabagh.. not sure

I asked this question a while back. No ones giving me a solid answer. We are obsessed with the Smerch yet claimed to possess the Ar1A system. We're we talking xxxxe , were we told not to go ahead , or do we have them ?

That's the only evidence that exists

Azerbaijan buys Smerch. The coffeeshop "analysts": "It's over, Karabakh will be lost, Smerch is a super weapon, Azeris can strike Yerevan from Nakhichevan."
Armenia buys Smerch. The coffeshop "analysts": "Smerch is not a strategic weapon, it adds no significant firepower to the Armenia Army."

When Azerbaijan first bought the Smerch I hoped we had something to counter it , psychologically. In all honesty Armenians always complain even if they had nuclear weapons.

It also costs a lot more. It would make sense to have both types of systems. SPH for forward moving/dynamic movement (like 36 of them) and have like 54 or so towed howitzers to hit stationary places or haul the guns up a mountain.
