One of the very few (if not the only) military analysts in Armenia that I take seriously. He's talking about his recent visit to Karabakh. Interestingly, he also says that he does not see acquiring the Smerch as an 'absolute need' for the Armenian Army..interesing.

''Perhaps, the issue concerns the purchase of ammunition (for instance, for Smerch multiple rocket launcher) to replace those used up during the escalation in Karabakh, since this is more pressing than the purchase of heavy armament,'' the military expert supposed.

''They can also withdraw from IFV-3, which is not the most priority technology in the conditions of the specific combat theatre. They can be replaced with strike systems: new Smerch or self-propelled artillery like Msta self-propelled howitzer. Baku may also be interested in Pantsir anti-aircraft artillery weapons, which are effective against drones and short-range attack missiles,'' Frolov added.
Our drones got into baku when azerbaijan first deployed the FAVORIT systems, don't think they're gonna make much use of the shiny pantsirs if they acquire them

guys, you're taking about weapons, but we don't have money to buy them, actually, the main thing that we need is to completely arm our trenches in the front with night vision cameras, radars, etc. And we need money to invest in our military corporations. I really think, that we can produce something like Tochka or Scud by ourself.

FAVORIT systems and Pantsir-S1 systems are highly different. Pantsir-S1 could likely be much more effective against drones, especially with their 4 autocannons. Plus, as Pantsir-S1's are designed to complement S-300 systems by defending against attacks on the S-300 systems themselves, if Azerbaijan gets those it would make it harder to take out their S-300 systems.

Check one of the videos I've posted above. Almost all positions have been provided with NV + heat cameras. Weapons have been armed with NV/heat scopes too.

The person to the left who is speaking in Russian (but translated) has good analysis on the arms balance and recent weapons procurement of Armenia. The host and Styopa Safarian (the baldy) have nothing to add other than their normal rhetoric.
