The wounded soldier now speaks, eats and wishes to continue his service
Armenian serviceman Hayk Hambardzumyan, who was heavily wounded on October 7 in Artsakh, has visibly improved. As Panorama.am learnt from the soldier’s uncle, doctors assess Hayk’s condition as heavy yet stable.x

“Hayk is currently under the doctors’ care. He is still in the reanimation department. His condition is heavy but stable. Hayk speaks and eats now,” Rafik Zaroyan, the soldier’s uncle said, adding the relatives of the wounded soldier are allowed to visit him every day for about 20 minutes.

To note, the soldier received a gunshot wound in his liver and lungs. To doctors, there are certain difficulties with the liver, and the treatment requires a long time as well as an additional surgery. To the uncle’s words, doctors ensure Hayk will receive a good treatment.x

Hayk Hambardzumyan has been on the frontline during the April war this year. He was about to complete his military service in three months.x

“When Hayk opened his eyes, the first thing he said was he had survived and wished to continue his service,” recalled the soldier’s uncle.x

To note, Hayk Hambardzumyan sustained an injure on October 7 in a combat position of one of the NKR Defense Army units located to the south of the Line of Contact between NKR and Azerbaijan.

He underwent a surgery in Stepanakert on his chest and abdomen and three days later was transferred to Yerevan’s Central Clinical Military Hospital by helicopter.
